1 (KJV) O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
1 (ROH) Spievajte Hospodinovi novú pieseň! Spievajte Hospodinovi, celá zem!
2 (KJV) Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
2 (ROH) Spievajte Hospodinovi; dobrorečte jeho menu; zvestujte jeho spasenie zo dňa na deň!
3 (KJV) Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
3 (ROH) Rozprávajte jeho slávu medzi národami, všade medzi všetkými ľuďmi jeho divy.
4 (KJV) For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
4 (ROH) Lebo veľký je Hospodin a veľmi chválený; je strašný nad všetkých bohov.
5 (KJV) For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
5 (ROH) Lebo všetci bohovia národov sú modlami; ale Hospodin učinil nebesia.
6 (KJV) Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
6 (ROH) Velebnosť a sláva je pred ním, sila a okrasa v jeho svätyni.
7 (KJV) Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
7 (ROH) Vzdajte Hospodinovi, čeľade národov, vzdajte Hospodinovi česť a silu!
8 (KJV) Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
8 (ROH) Vzdajte Hospodinovi česť jeho mena. Doneste posvätný dar a vojdite do jeho dvorov!
9 (KJV) O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
9 (ROH) Klaňajte sa Hospodinovi v ozdobe svätosti! Traste sa pred jeho tvárou, celá zem!
10 (KJV) Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
10 (ROH) Povedzte medzi národami: Hospodin kraľuje! Áno, aj okruh sveta bude upevnený tak, aby sa nepohnul. Bude súdiť národy spravedlivo.
11 (KJV) Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
11 (ROH) Nech sa radujú nebesia, a nech plesá zem! Nech hučí more i jeho náplň!
12 (KJV) Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
12 (ROH) Nech sa veselí pole a všetko, čo je na ňom! Vtedy nech plesajú i všetky stromy lesa
13 (KJV) Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
13 (ROH) pred Hospodinom, lebo ide, lebo ide súdiť zem! Bude súdiť okruh sveta v spravedlivosti a národy vo svojej pravde.

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Ž 29:2 - Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Verš 13
Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
Ž 98:9 - Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
Zjv 19:11 - And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Z 96 - Žalmista týmto žalmom povzbudzuje izraelský ľud, aby pozdravoval a oslavoval Pána, neviditeľného Kráľa, ktorý tróni na arche zmluvy a teraz prichádza do svätyne. V tomto Kráľovi majú však pozdraviť aj všeobecného Kráľa mesiášskych časov. - Žalmista v prítomnej oslave vidí viac, než sa ukazuje oku, vidí na konci časov prichádzať Pána, ktorý ide založiť mesiášske kráľovstvo. Žalm je mesiášsky v tom zmysle, že všetky národy povoláva chváliť a oslavovať Boha a ohlasuje súd nad nimi.
Z 96,1 - "Pieseň novú", lebo staršie chválospevy už nestačia na to, aby vystihli veľkosť budúceho prejavu a zjavenia sa Božej velebnosti a moci.
Z 96,4 - Všetci tí, čo u pohanských národov nosia meno "boh", sú nič, prázdnota, "výmysly", netreba sa ich báť, netreba ich poslúchať, sú to mŕtve a bezmocné figúrky. Iba Jahve je Boh, lebo on všetko stvoril.
