1 (CPDV) A Canticle of David himself, when the house was built after the captivity. Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
1 (ROH) Poďte, plesajme Hospodinovi! Pokrikujme s radosťou skale svojho spasenia!
2 (CPDV) Sing to the Lord and bless his name. Announce his salvation from day to day.
2 (ROH) Predídime jeho tvár s chválou! Pokrikujme mu radostne žalmy!
3 (CPDV) Announce his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all peoples.
3 (ROH) Lebo Hospodin je silný Bôh veľký a veľký Kráľ nad všetkými bohmi,
4 (CPDV) For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is terrible, beyond all gods.
4 (ROH) v ktorého ruke sú nevystihlé hlbiny zeme, a končiare vrchov sú jeho.
5 (CPDV) For all the gods of the Gentiles are demons, but the Lord made the heavens.
5 (ROH) Jeho je more, a on ho učinil, i sušinu sformovaly jeho ruky.
6 (CPDV) Confession and beauty are in his sight. Sanctity and magnificence are in his sanctuary.
6 (ROH) Poďte, klaňajme sa a padnime na kolená, kľakajme pred Hospodinom, svojím učiniteľom.
7 (CPDV) Bring to the Lord, you natives of the nations, bring to the Lord glory and honor.
7 (ROH) Lebo on je náš Bôh, a my sme ľud jeho pastvy, sme stádom jeho ruky. Dnes, ak počujete jeho hlas,
8 (CPDV) Bring to the Lord glory for his name. Lift up sacrifices, and enter into his courts.
8 (ROH) nezatvrdzujte svojho srdca jako v Meríbe, jako v deň pokušenia na púšti,
9 (CPDV) Adore the Lord in his holy court. Let the entire earth be shaken before his face.

10 (CPDV) Say among the Gentiles: The Lord has reigned. For he has even corrected the whole world, which will not be shaken. He will judge the peoples with fairness.
10 (ROH) Štyridsať rokov som sa nesnádil s tým pokolením a povedal som: Oni sú ľud, ktorý blúdi srdcom. A oni nepoznali mojich ciest,
11 (CPDV) Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult; let the sea and all its fullness be moved.
11 (ROH) takže som konečne prisahal vo svojom hneve, že nevojdú do môjho odpočinku.
12 (CPDV) The fields and all the things that are in them will be glad. Then all the trees of the forest will rejoice

13 (CPDV) before the face of the Lord: for he arrives. For he arrives to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with fairness and the peoples with his truth.

Verš 8
Bring to the Lord glory for his name. Lift up sacrifices, and enter into his courts.
Ex 17:7 - And he called the name of that place ‘Temptation,’ because of the arguing of the sons of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying: “Is the Lord with us, or not?”

Adore the Lord in his holy court. Let the entire earth be shaken before his face.

Say among the Gentiles: The Lord has reigned. For he has even corrected the whole world, which will not be shaken. He will judge the peoples with fairness.
Heb 3:17 - So against whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not those who had sinned, whose dead bodies lay prostrate in the desert?

For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is terrible, beyond all gods.

Z 95 - Žalm sa rozdeľuje na dve čiastky: I (1-5) žalmista vyzýva ľud k oslave Boha, lebo on je Kráľom celej zeme, ktorú stvoril; II (6-11) opäť povoláva chváliť Pána, lebo je pastierom izraelského ľudu, ktorého majú všetci uznať a poslúchať, ak nechcú byť potrestaní a odvrhnutí ako otcovia na púšti.
Z 95,9 - "Meríba" významovo značí miesto "sporu, hádky" (Ex 17,1-7). "Massa" označuje miesto "pokúšania" (Nm 20,2.3).
