1 (HEM) אל נקמות יהוה אל נקמות הופיע׃
1 (UKJV) "O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs; O God, to whom vengeance belongs, show yourself. "

2 (HEM) הנשא שפט הארץ השב גמול על גאים׃
2 (UKJV) Lift up yourself, you judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3 (HEM) עד מתי רשעים יהוה עד מתי רשעים יעלזו׃
3 (UKJV) LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4 (HEM) יביעו ידברו עתק יתאמרו כל פעלי און׃
4 (UKJV) How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5 (HEM) עמך יהוה ידכאו ונחלתך יענו׃
5 (UKJV) They break in pieces your people, O LORD, and afflict your heritage.

6 (HEM) אלמנה וגר יהרגו ויתומים ירצחו׃
6 (UKJV) They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7 (HEM) ויאמרו לא יראה יה ולא יבין אלהי יעקב׃
7 (UKJV) Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

8 (HEM) בינו בערים בעם וכסילים מתי תשכילו׃
8 (UKJV) Understand, all of you brutish among the people: and all of you fools, when will all of you be wise?

9 (HEM) הנטע אזן הלא ישמע אם יצר עין הלא יביט׃
9 (UKJV) He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 (HEM) היסר גוים הלא יוכיח המלמד אדם דעת׃
10 (UKJV) He that chastises the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teaches man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 (HEM) יהוה ידע מחשבות אדם כי המה הבל׃
11 (UKJV) The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 (HEM) אשרי הגבר אשר תיסרנו יה ומתורתך תלמדנו׃
12 (UKJV) "Blessed is the man whom you chasten, O LORD, and teach him out of your law; "

13 (HEM) להשקיט לו מימי רע עד יכרה לרשע שחת׃
13 (UKJV) That you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be dug for the wicked.

14 (HEM) כי לא יטש יהוה עמו ונחלתו לא יעזב׃
14 (UKJV) For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 (HEM) כי עד צדק ישוב משפט ואחריו כל ישרי לב׃
15 (UKJV) But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 (HEM) מי יקום לי עם מרעים מי יתיצב לי עם פעלי און׃
16 (UKJV) Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 (HEM) לולי יהוה עזרתה לי כמעט שכנה דומה נפשי׃
17 (UKJV) Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18 (HEM) אם אמרתי מטה רגלי חסדך יהוה יסעדני׃
18 (UKJV) "When I said, My foot slips; your mercy, O LORD, held me up. "

19 (HEM) ברב שרעפי בקרבי תנחומיך ישעשעו נפשי׃
19 (UKJV) In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.

20 (HEM) היחברך כסא הוות יצר עמל עלי חק׃
20 (UKJV) Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with you, which frames mischief by a law?

21 (HEM) יגודו על נפש צדיק ודם נקי ירשיעו׃
21 (UKJV) They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 (HEM) ויהי יהוה לי למשגב ואלהי לצור מחסי׃
22 (UKJV) "But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. "

23 (HEM) וישב עליהם את אונם וברעתם יצמיתם יצמיתם יהוה אלהינו׃
23 (UKJV) "And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off. "
