1 (KJV) O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
1 (ROH) Silný Bože pomsty, Hospodine, silný Bože pomsty, zaskvej sa!
2 (KJV) Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
2 (ROH) Pozdvihni sa, sudca zeme! Daj pyšným odplatu!
3 (KJV) LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
3 (ROH) Až dokedy bezbožníci, Hospodine, dokedy budú plesať bezbožní?
4 (KJV) How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
4 (ROH) Vravia a vravia, hovoria spurne; honosia sa všetci činitelia neprávosti.
5 (KJV) They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
5 (ROH) Hospodine, depcú tvoj ľud a trápiac ponižujú tvoje dedičstvo.
6 (KJV) They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
6 (ROH) Vraždia vdovu a pohostína a siroty zabíjajú
7 (KJV) Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
7 (ROH) a hovoria: Nevidí toho Hospodin, ani tomu nerozumie Bôh Jakobov.
8 (KJV) Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
8 (ROH) Rozumejte, zhovädilí v ľude! Blázni, kedyže už zmúdriete?
9 (KJV) He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
9 (ROH) Či azda ten, ktorý vsadil ucho, nepočuje? Alebo či ten, ktorý utvoril oko, nevidí?
10 (KJV) He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
10 (ROH) Či ten, ktorý kázni národy, nebude trestať? Ten, ktorý učí ľudí vedomosti?
11 (KJV) The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
11 (ROH) Hospodin zná myšlienky ľudí, že sú márnosť.
12 (KJV) Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
12 (ROH) Blahoslavený muž, ktorého otcovsky káraš, Hospodine, a vyučuješ ho zo svojho zákona,
13 (KJV) That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
13 (ROH) aby si mu spôsobil pokoj pred dňami zlého, kým sa bezbožnému nevykope jama.
14 (KJV) For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
14 (ROH) Lebo Hospodin nepovrhne svojho ľudu a neopustí svojho dedičstva.
15 (KJV) But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
15 (ROH) Lebo súd sa navráti k spravedlivosti, a za ním pojdú všetci úprimného srdca.
16 (KJV) Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
16 (ROH) Kto by bol za mňa povstal proti zlostníkom? Kto by sa bol postavil za mňa proti činiteľom neprávosti?
17 (KJV) Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
17 (ROH) Keby mi Hospodin nebol býval pomocou, už by sa skoro bola octla moja duša v mlčaní.
18 (KJV) When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
18 (ROH) Ak hovorím: Moja noha sa kláti, tvoja milosť, ó, Hospodine, ma vždycky upevní.
19 (KJV) In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
19 (ROH) V mnohých mojich dumných myšlienkach v mojom srdci tvoje potešovania obveseľujú moju dušu.
20 (KJV) Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
20 (ROH) Lebo veď či sa spolčí s tebou stolica neprávosti, ten, kto vymýšľa trápenie po zákone?
21 (KJV) They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
21 (ROH) Tí, ktorí útočia na dušu spravedlivého a odsudzujú nevinnú krv?
22 (KJV) But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
22 (ROH) Ale Hospodin mi je vysokým hradom a môj Bôh skalou môjho útočišťa.
23 (KJV) And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
23 (ROH) A obráti ich neprávosť na nich samých, ich vlastnou zlosťou ich zahladí; zahladí ich Hospodin, náš Bôh.

Verš 1
O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
Dt 33:2 - And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
Ž 10:11 - He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
Ž 10:13 - Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
Ž 59:7 - Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
Ž 92:6 - A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

Ex 4:11 - And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
Verš 11
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
1Kor 3:20 - And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
Verš 14
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
1Sam 12:22 - For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
Rim 11:1 - I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Z 94,7 - "Pán nevidí" a "nevie", neveria, že Boh bude trestať každú krivdu, každý hriech a každý zločin. Proti podobným neprístojnostiam a krivdám brojili aj proroci (Iz 1,23; 5,20-23; 10,1 n.; Jer 5,1 n.; Ez 22,7; Oz 4,2; Zach 7,10 atď.).
Z 94,17 - "V ríši mlčania", teda v šeóle (porov. Ž 115,17).
