1 (KJV) O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
1 (KAT) Bože odplaty, Pane, Bože odplaty, zjav sa.
2 (KJV) Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
2 (KAT) Povstaň, ty, ktorý súdiš zem, odplať pyšným, čo si zaslúžili.
3 (KJV) LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
3 (KAT) Dokedy ešte hriešnici, Pane, dokedy ešte budú hriešnici jasať?
4 (KJV) How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
4 (KAT) Dokedy budú rečniť a opovážlivo hovoriť a chvastať sa tí, čo páchajú zločiny?
5 (KJV) They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
5 (KAT) Pane, šliapu po tvojom ľude a tvoje dedičstvo týrajú.
6 (KJV) They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
6 (KAT) Vraždia vdovy a cudzincov a zabíjajú siroty.
7 (KJV) Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
7 (KAT) A hovoria si: „Pán to nevidí, nevie o tom Boh Jakubov.“
8 (KJV) Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
8 (KAT) Pochopte to, vy, nerozumní v národe; kedy to porozumiete, hlupáci?
9 (KJV) He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
9 (KAT) Že by ten, čo vsadil ucho, nepočul, alebo ten, čo oko stvoril, že by nevidel?
10 (KJV) He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
10 (KAT) Že by netrestal ten, čo vychováva národy, čo učí ľud múdrosti?
11 (KJV) The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
11 (KAT) Pán pozná ľudské myšlienky a vie, aké sú márne.
12 (KJV) Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
12 (KAT) Blažený človek, ktorého ty, Pane, vzdelávaš a poúčaš o svojom zákone,
13 (KJV) That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
13 (KAT) aby si mu uľavil v dňoch nešťastných, kým pre hriešnika nevykopú jamu.
14 (KJV) For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
14 (KAT) Lebo Pán neodvrhne svoj ľud a neopustí svoje dedičstvo.
15 (KJV) But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
15 (KAT) Súd sa zasa navráti k spravodlivosti a spravodlivosťou sa budú riadiť všetci statoční.
16 (KJV) Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
16 (KAT) Proti ničomníkom ktože mi pomôže a kto sa ma zastane proti páchateľom zla?
17 (KJV) Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
17 (KAT) Keby mi Pán nebol pomohol, už by som bol býval v ríši mlčania.
18 (KJV) When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
18 (KAT) Ledva poviem: „Noha sa mi potkýna,“ hneď ma, Pane, podopiera tvoja dobrota.
19 (KJV) In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
19 (KAT) A keď sa v mojom srdci kopia starosti, vzpružuje ma tvoja potecha.
20 (KJV) Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
20 (KAT) Veď či je zlučiteľný s tebou trón bezprávia, čo vysluhuje násilie, a nie zákon?
21 (KJV) They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
21 (KAT) Na život spravodlivého sa vrhajú a odsudzujú krv nevinnú.
22 (KJV) But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
22 (KAT) Mne sa však Pán stal pevnosťou a skalou útočišťa môj Boh.
23 (KJV) And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
23 (KAT) On im odplatí za ich neprávosť a ich vlastnou zlobou ich vyhubí,

Verš 1
O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
Dt 33:2 - And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
Ž 10:11 - He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
Ž 10:13 - Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
Ž 59:7 - Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
Ž 92:6 - A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

Ex 4:11 - And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
Verš 11
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
1Kor 3:20 - And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
Verš 14
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
1Sam 12:22 - For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
Rim 11:1 - I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Z 94,7 - "Pán nevidí" a "nevie", neveria, že Boh bude trestať každú krivdu, každý hriech a každý zločin. Proti podobným neprístojnostiam a krivdám brojili aj proroci (Iz 1,23; 5,20-23; 10,1 n.; Jer 5,1 n.; Ez 22,7; Oz 4,2; Zach 7,10 atď.).
Z 94,17 - "V ríši mlčania", teda v šeóle (porov. Ž 115,17).
