1 (KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
1 (B21) Ve skrýši Nejvyššího kdo přebývá, ve stínu Všemohoucího bude spočívat.
2 (KJV) I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
2 (B21) Hospodinu řeknu: "Jsi mé útočiště, můj hrad, můj Bůh, na něhož spoléhám!"
3 (KJV) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
3 (B21) Jistě tě vysvobodí z lovcovy pasti, z morové rány nejprudší.
4 (KJV) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
4 (B21) Přikryje tě svými perutěmi, pod jeho křídly najdeš bezpečí, štít jeho věrnosti tě obklopí!
5 (KJV) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
5 (B21) Nezalekneš se noční hrůzy ani střel, jež ve dne létají,
6 (KJV) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
6 (B21) morové nákazy, jež tmou se plíží, ani zhoubné rány v čase poledním.
7 (KJV) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
7 (B21) Po tvém boku jich padne tisíc a deset tisíců po tvé pravici, tebe to ale nechá být.
8 (KJV) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
8 (B21) Pouze to spatříš na vlastní oči, uvidíš odplatu ničemných!
9 (KJV) Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
9 (B21) Když Hospodinu řekneš: "Jsi mé útočiště," Nejvyššího když zvolíš za svůj příbytek,
10 (KJV) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
10 (B21) žádné neštěstí se ti nepřihodí, rána se vyhne tvému obydlí.
11 (KJV) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
11 (B21) Vždyť kvůli tobě pověřil anděly, na všech tvých cestách aby tě chránili,
12 (KJV) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 (B21) na rukou aby tě nosili, nohu o kámen aby sis nezranil.
13 (KJV) Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
13 (B21) Přes lvici i zmiji půjdeš dál, lva i baziliška pošlapáš!
14 (KJV) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
14 (B21) "Přilnul ke mně, a tak ho zachráním, poznal mé jméno a já ho vyvýším.
15 (KJV) He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
15 (B21) Bude mě volat a já mu odpovím, v dobách soužení budu s ním, vysvobodím jej a oslavím.
16 (KJV) With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
16 (B21) Dlouhým životem ho nasytím - ukážu mu své spasení!"

Verš 3
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Ž 124:7 - Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Verš 4
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Ž 57:1 - Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Jób 5:19 - He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
