(UKJV - Anglický - Updated King James)

Ž 89, 1-53

1 (UKJV) I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations.
1 (ROH) Vyučujúci žalm od Étana Ezrachitského.

2 (UKJV) For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: your faithfulness shall you establish in the very heavens.
2 (ROH) Na veky budem spievať o rôznej milosti Hospodinovej; od pokolenia do pokolenia budem oznamovať tvoju pravdu svojimi ústami, Pane!

3 (UKJV) I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

4 (UKJV) Your seed will I establish for ever, and build up your throne to all generations. Selah.
4 (ROH) Učinil som smluvu so svojím vyvoleným; prisahal som Dávidovi, svojmu služobníkovi:

5 (UKJV) And the heavens shall praise your wonders, O LORD: your faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
5 (ROH) Na veky upevním tvoje semä a vybudujem tvoj trón, aby stál od pokolenia do pokolenia. Sélah.

6 (UKJV) For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
6 (ROH) A preto budú nebesia oslavovať tvoj zázrak, Hospodine, ovšem tvoju pravdu v shromaždení svätých.

7 (UKJV) God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

8 (UKJV) O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto you? or to your faithfulness round about you?
8 (ROH) Bôh je náramne strašný v rade svätých a hrozný nad všetkých vôkol neho.

9 (UKJV) You rule the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, you still them.

10 (UKJV) "You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; you have scattered your enemies with your strong arm. "
10 (ROH) Ty panuješ nad dutím mora; keď sa dvíhajú jeho vlny, ty ich krotíš.

11 (UKJV) The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours: as for the world and the fullness thereof, you have founded them.
11 (ROH) Ty si rozdrtil Rahaba jako zabitého; ramenom svojej sily si rozptýlil svojich nepriateľov.

12 (UKJV) The north and the south you have created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name.

13 (UKJV) You have a mighty arm: strong is your hand, and high is your right hand.
13 (ROH) Ty si stvoril sever i juh. Tábor a Hermon plesajú v tvojom mene.

14 (UKJV) Justice and judgment are the habitation of your throne: mercy and truth shall go before your face.
14 (ROH) Ty máš rameno s hrdinskou silou; mocná je tvoja ruka; vyvýšená je tvoja pravica.

15 (UKJV) Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of your countenance.
15 (ROH) Spravedlivosť a súd je postaťou tvojho trónu; milosť a pravda predchádzajú tvoju tvár.

16 (UKJV) In your name shall they rejoice all the day: and in your righteousness shall they be exalted.
16 (ROH) Blahoslavený ľud, ktorý ti vie radostne pokrikovať, Hospodine, tí, ktorí chodia vo svetle tvojej tvári!

17 (UKJV) For you are the glory of their strength: and in your favour our horn shall be exalted.
17 (ROH) Plesať budú v tvojom mene každého dňa a vyvýšia sa tvojou spravedlivosťou.

18 (UKJV) "For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. "
18 (ROH) Lebo ty si ozdobou ich sily a svojou dobrotivosťou povýšiš náš roh.

19 (UKJV) "Then you spoke in vision to your holy one, and said, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. "
19 (ROH) Lebo náš štít je Hospodinov a Svätého Izraelovho náš kráľ.

20 (UKJV) "I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: "
20 (ROH) Vtedy si hovoril svojim svätým vo videní a riekol si: Položil som pomoc na hrdinského muža; vyvýšil som vybraného z ľudu.

21 (UKJV) With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
21 (ROH) Našiel som Dávida, svojho služobníka; pomazal som ho svojím svätým olejom,

22 (UKJV) "The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. "
22 (ROH) s ktorým bude stále moja ruka, a ovšem i moje rameno ho bude posilňovať.

23 (UKJV) And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
23 (ROH) Neoklame ho nepriateľ, ani ho nebude trápiť syn nešľachetníka.

24 (UKJV) But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
24 (ROH) Rozdrtím pred ním jeho protivníkov a tých, ktorí ho nenávidia, porazím.

25 (UKJV) I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26 (UKJV) He shall cry unto me, You are my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

27 (UKJV) Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
27 (ROH) On volajúc ma povie: Ty si môj Otec, môj silný Bôh a skala môjho spasenia.

28 (UKJV) My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
28 (ROH) A zase ja ho urobím prvorodeným, najvyšším z kráľov zeme.

29 (UKJV) His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
29 (ROH) Na veky mu zachovám svoju milosť, a moja smluva mu bude stáť verná.

30 (UKJV) "If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; "

31 (UKJV) "If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; "
31 (ROH) Ak by jeho synovia opustili môj zákon a nechodili v mojich súdoch,

32 (UKJV) Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
32 (ROH) ak by poškvrnili moje ustanovenia a neostríhali mojich prikázaní,

33 (UKJV) Nevertheless my loving kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
33 (ROH) vtedy navštívim ich prestúpenie prútom a údermi ich neprávosť;

34 (UKJV) My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 (UKJV) Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
35 (ROH) Nepoškvrním svojej smluvy a toho, čo raz vyšlo cez moje rty, nezmením.

36 (UKJV) His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

37 (UKJV) It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

38 (UKJV) But you have cast off and abhorred, you have been angry with your anointed.

39 (UKJV) You have made void the covenant of your servant: you have profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
39 (ROH) Ale ty si ho zavrhol a opovrhol si ním a rozhneval si sa na svojho pomazaného.

40 (UKJV) "You have broken down all his hedges; you have brought his strong holds to ruin. "

41 (UKJV) All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

42 (UKJV) "You have set up the right hand of his adversaries; you have made all his enemies to rejoice. "
42 (ROH) Olupujú ho všetci, ktorí idú tade cestou; je potupou svojim súsedom.

43 (UKJV) You have also turned the edge of his sword, and have not made him to stand in the battle.

44 (UKJV) You have made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
44 (ROH) Áno, odvrátil si ostrie jeho meča a nedal si mu obstáť v boji.

45 (UKJV) The days of his youth have you shortened: you have covered him with shame. Selah.

46 (UKJV) How long, LORD? will you hide yourself for ever? shall your wrath burn like fire?
46 (ROH) Ukrátil si dni jeho mladosti; odial si ho hanbou. Sélah.

47 (UKJV) Remember how short my time is: wherefore have you made all men in vain?
47 (ROH) Až do kedy, Hospodine? Či sa len na veky budeš skrývať? Či navždy bude horieť tvoja prchlivosť ako oheň?

48 (UKJV) What man is he that lives, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

49 (UKJV) Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you sware unto David in your truth?
49 (ROH) Kde ktorý človek by žil a neuvidel smrti, ktorý by vytrhol svoju dušu z ruky šeola?! Sélah.

50 (UKJV) "Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people; "
50 (ROH) Kde je tvoja drievna rôzna milosť, Pane, ktorú si prisahal Dávidovi vo svojej pravde?

51 (UKJV) "Wherewith your enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of your anointed. "

52 (UKJV) Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
52 (ROH) ako potupujú tvoji nepriatelia, Hospodine, ako potupujú šľapaje tvojho pomazaného.

53 ----
53 (ROH) Nech je požehnaný Hospodin na veky. Ameň, ameň.

2Sam 7:15 - But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.

Verš 20
"I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: "
1Sam 16:1 - And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill your horn with oil, and go, I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
1Sam 16:13 - Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

Z 89 - Autor tohto vážneho, rozjímavého, nábožensko-poučného žalmu ("maškíl") má pravdepodobne tesne pred exilom pred očami smutný údel Dávidovho kráľovského domu a porovnáva ho so slávnymi prisľúbeniami, ktoré dal kedysi Pán Dávidovi.

Z 89,20 - "Svojim svätým" - to je Nátan a Dávid so svojím ľudom.

Z 89,26 - "More" Stredozemné, "rieka" Eufrat.

). Dávidov trón je večný len v Cirkvi, len Mesiáš je večným kráľom.

Z 89,31-34 - Potomstvo a kráľovstvo bude v Mesiášovi večné, takto nikdy nebude koniec Dávidovmu kráľovstvu.

Porov. Ž 41,14; a 72,18.19.
