1 (KJV) Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
1 (B21) Modlitba Davidova. Slyš mě, Hospodine, a odpověz, vždyť jsem tak nuzný a ubohý!
2 (KJV) Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
2 (B21) Naživu mě prosím zachovej, vždyť jsem ti oddaný! Svému služebníku spásu dej - Bože můj, jsi mou nadějí!
3 (KJV) Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
3 (B21) Smiluj se nade mnou, Hospodine, vždyť k tobě volám celý den!
4 (KJV) Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
4 (B21) Svého služebníka naplň radostí, vždyť k tobě, Pane, svou duši povznáším.
5 (KJV) For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
5 (B21) Ty přece, Pane, jsi dobrý a soucitný, velice miluješ ty, kdo tě vzývají!
6 (KJV) Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
6 (B21) Moji modlitbu, Hospodine, slyš, mých proseb všímej si.
7 (KJV) In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
7 (B21) Vzývám tě v den svého soužení, neboť mi odpovíš.
8 (KJV) Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
8 (B21) Žádný bůh není, Pane, jako ty, tvým skutkům není podobných!
9 (KJV) All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
9 (B21) Všechny národy, kterés učinil, přijdou se tobě poklonit, tvé jméno, Pane, oslaví!
10 (KJV) For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
10 (B21) Vždyť ty jsi veliký, činíš zázraky, jediný Bůh jsi ty!
11 (KJV) Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
11 (B21) Svou cestu, Hospodine, ukaž mi, abych se držel tvé věrnosti. Mé srdce ať se soustředí, abych tvé jméno ctil!
12 (KJV) I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
12 (B21) Chválím tě, Pane Bože, celým srdcem svým, tvé jméno chci slavit navěky!
13 (KJV) For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
13 (B21) Vždyť ty mě miluješ láskou největší, zachránil jsi mě z hloubky záhrobí!
14 (KJV) O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
14 (B21) Nadutci povstali, Bože, proti mně, tlupa násilníků pase po mém životě - ti, kdo tě nestavějí před sebe!
15 (KJV) But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
15 (B21) Ty ale, Pane, jsi Bůh milostivý a soucitný, nesmírně trpělivý, velmi věrný a laskavý.
16 (KJV) O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
16 (B21) Pohlédni na mě, smiluj se prosím, svého služebníka posilni, synu své služebnice daruj spasení!
17 (KJV) Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
17 (B21) Dej mi znamení své dobroty, aby se moji nepřátelé stydět museli, až uvidí, že jsi byl mou pomocí a že ty, Hospodine, jsi mě potěšil!

Verš 8
Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
Dt 3:24 - O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
Ž 136:4 - To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Verš 15
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
Ex 34:6 - And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Nm 14:18 - The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
Neh 9:17 - And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
Ž 103:8 - The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Ž 145:8 - The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
Joe 2:13 - And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Ž 25:4 - Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Ž 27:11 - Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
Ž 119:33 - Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
Ž 54:3 - For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
Ž 50:15 - And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
