1 (KJV) Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

2 (KJV) Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
2 (KAT) Plesajte Bohu, ktorý nám pomáha, jasajte Bohu Jakubovmu.

3 (KJV) Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
3 (KAT) Vezmite harfy, udrite na bubon, na ľúbu lýru a citaru.

4 (KJV) For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
4 (KAT) Zatrúbte rohom pri nove mesiaca i pri jeho splne v deň našej slávnosti.

5 (KJV) This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
5 (KAT) Lebo také je nariadenie pre Izrael a zákon Boha Jakubovho.

6 (KJV) I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
6 (KAT) Taký príkaz dal Jozefovi, keď vychádzal z krajiny egyptskej; počul som reč mne neznámu:

7 (KJV) Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
7 (KAT) „Z jeho pliec som sňal bremeno a z jeho rúk ťažký kôš.

8 (KJV) Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
8 (KAT) V súžení si ma vzýval a vyslobodil som ťa, za clonou búrky som ťa vypočul, vyskúšal som ťa pri vodách meríbskych.

9 (KJV) There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
9 (KAT) Počúvaj, ľud môj, svedčím proti tebe, kiež by si ma poslúchol, Izrael.

10 (KJV) I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
10 (KAT) Nebudeš mať iného boha, ani sa nebudeš klaňať bohu cudziemu.

11 (KJV) But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
11 (KAT) Veď ja som Pán, tvoj Boh, ja som ťa vyviedol z egyptskej krajiny; otvor si ústa a ja ti ich naplním.

12 (KJV) So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
12 (KAT) Ale môj ľud nepočúval na môj hlas a Izrael nedbal o mňa.

13 (KJV) Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
13 (KAT) Preto som ich ponechal v tvrdosti ich srdca: nech si len idú za svojimi preludmi.

14 (KJV) I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
14 (KAT) Keby ma môj ľud bol poslúchol, keby bol Izrael kráčal mojimi cestami,

15 (KJV) The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
15 (KAT) ihneď by som bol jeho nepriateľov pokoril a jeho utláčateľov svojou rukou pritlačil.

16 (KJV) He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
16 (KAT) Zaliečali by sa mu nepriatelia Pánovi a ich osud by trval naveky.
