Žalmy

1 (KJV) Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru jako: Nezahub! Žalm Azafov. Pieseň.

2 (KJV) When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
2 (ROH) Oslavujeme ťa, Bože, oslavujeme. A že je blízke tvoje meno, o tom rozprávajú tvoje divy.

3 (KJV) The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
3 (ROH) Lebo si povedal: Keď prijde uložený čas, ja budem súdiť spravedlivo.

4 (KJV) I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
4 (ROH) Keď sa rozplýva zem a hrôzou všetci jej obyvatelia, vtedy ja postavím jej stĺpy tak, aby stály. Sélah.

5 (KJV) Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
5 (ROH) Hovorím bláznom: Nebláznite! A bezbožníkom: Nepozdvihujte rohu!

6 (KJV) For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
6 (ROH) Nepozdvihujte proti Najvyššiemu svojho rohu! Nehovorte tvrdošijne!

7 (KJV) But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
7 (ROH) Lebo nie od východu ani od západu ani nie od púšte prichádza povýšenie.

8 (KJV) For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
8 (ROH) Ale Bôh, sudca, jedného ponižuje a druhého povyšuje.

9 (KJV) But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
9 (ROH) Lebo kalich je v ruke Hospodinovej, a víno sa v ňom pení: je plný miešaného, a bude nelievať z neho, ba ešte i jeho kvasnice vysrkajú a vypijú všetci bezbožníci zeme.

10 (KJV) All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
10 (ROH) Ale ja budem zvestovať skutky Pánove na veky; spievať budem Bohu Jakobovmu žalmy.

11 (ROH) A poutínam všetky rohy bezbožníkov; vyvýšené budú rohy spravedlivého.
