Ž 69, 1-37

1 (KJV) Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
1 (KAT) Zbormajstrovi. Na nápev „Ľalia“. Dávidov žalm.

2 (KJV) I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3 (KJV) I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
3 (KAT) V bezodnom bahne viaznem a nemám pevnej pôdy pod nohami, dostal som sa do hlbín vôd a zalieva ma príval.

4 (KJV) They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

5 (KJV) O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
5 (KAT) Viac než mám vlasov na hlave, je tých, čo ma bez príčiny nenávidia. Mocnejší sú tí, čo ma prenasledujú, sú to nepriatelia klamárski; musel som vrátiť, čo som neulúpil.

6 (KJV) Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
6 (KAT) Bože, ty poznáš moju pochabosť a moje poklesky nie sú ti skryté.

7 (KJV) Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

8 (KJV) I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
8 (KAT) Pre teba znášam potupu a hanba mi pokrýva tvár.

9 (KJV) For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
9 (KAT) Svojim bratom som sa stal cudzincom a synom svojej matky neznámym.

10 (KJV) When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

11 (KJV) I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
11 (KAT) V pôstoch som si dušu vyplakal, no aj to mi bolo na potupu.

12 (KJV) They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
12 (KAT) I vrecovinu som si obliekol a príslovečným som sa stal.

13 (KJV) But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
13 (KAT) Utŕhajú si zo mňa tí, čo vysedávajú v bráne, a pri víne pospevujú o mne pijani.

14 (KJV) Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
14 (KAT) Ale ja, Pane, obraciam sa modlitbou k tebe v tomto čase milosti. Vypočuj ma, Bože, pre svoju veľkú dobrotu, pre svoju vernosť mi pomôž.

15 (KJV) Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
15 (KAT) Vytrhni ma z bahna, aby som sa nepohrúžil doň, a budem vytrhnutý z moci svojich nenávistníkov i z hlbokých vôd.

16 (KJV) Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
16 (KAT) Nech ma nezatopí príval vôd, nech ma nepohltí hlbina a priepasť nezavrie nado mnou pažerák.

17 (KJV) And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.
17 (KAT) Vyslyš ma, Pane, veď si dobrotivý a láskavý; pre svoje veľké milosrdenstvo pohliadni na mňa.

18 (KJV) Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

19 (KJV) Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

20 (KJV) Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
20 (KAT) Ty poznáš moju potupu, moju hanbu i moje zneuctenie. Ty vidíš všetkých, čo ma sužujú.

21 (KJV) They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
21 (KAT) Potupa mi zlomila srdce a ochabol som. Čakal som, že dakto bude mať so mnou súcit, no takého som nestretol; čakal som, že dakto ma poteší, ale taký sa nenašiel.

22 (KJV) Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
22 (KAT) Do jedla mi dali žlče, a keď som bol smädný, napojili ma octom.

23 (KJV) Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
23 (KAT) Nech sa im ich stôl stane nástrahou, odplatou a pohoršením.

24 (KJV) Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
24 (KAT) Nech sa im oči zatemnia, aby nevideli, a nech v bedrách oslabnú navždy.

25 (KJV) Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

26 (KJV) For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
26 (KAT) Nech spustne ich táborisko a v ich stanoch nech nemá kto bývať.

27 (KJV) Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
27 (KAT) Lebo prenasledujú toho, koho si ty udrel, a množia bolesti tomu, koho si zranil.

28 (KJV) Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
28 (KAT) K ich neprávosti pridaj neprávosť, nech nevojdú do tvojej spravodlivosti.

29 (KJV) But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
29 (KAT) Nech sú vytretí z knihy žijúcich a nech nie sú zapísaní medzi spravodlivými.

30 (KJV) I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
30 (KAT) Som úbožiak, plný bolesti; tvoja pomoc, Bože, ma pozdvihne.

31 (KJV) This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
31 (KAT) Piesňou chcem Božie meno osláviť a velebiť ho chválospevmi.

32 (KJV) The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
32 (KAT) A Pánovi to bude milšie, ako keby som obetoval býka, ako keby som obetoval junca, ktorému rastú rožky a ratice.

33 (KJV) For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
33 (KAT) Nech zvedia o tom ponížení a nech sa potešia; hľadajte Boha a srdce vám oživne.

34 (KJV) Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and everything that moveth therein.
34 (KAT) Lebo Pán vypočuje chudobných a nepohŕda svojimi, keď sú v zajatí.

35 (KJV) For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
35 (KAT) Nech ho chvália nebesia i zem, moria a všetko, čo sa hýbe v nich.

36 (KJV) The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
36 (KAT) Lebo Boh zachráni Sion a vybuduje mestá Júdove; usadia sa tam a budú ich majetkom.

37 ----
37 (KAT) A zdedia ho potomci jeho služobníkov a tí, čo milujú jeho meno, budú v ňom prebývať.

Ž 69, 1-37

Verš 9
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Jn 2:17 - And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
Rim 15:3 - For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Verš 25
Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
Sk 1:20 - For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

Verš 21
They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Mt 27:34 - They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
Mt 27:48 - And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
Mk 15:23 - And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
Jn 19:28 - After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

Verš 22
Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
Rim 11:9 - And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:

Verš 23
Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
Iz 6:9 - And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Iz 29:10 - For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
Iz 44:18 - They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
Rim 11:10 - Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

Pavol (Rim 11,9) a sv. Lukáš (Sk 1,16.20). Mesiášsku povahu žalmu potvrdzujú novozákonné citácie.

Z 69,5 - "Musel som vrátiť, čo som neulúpil" - azda príslovie na potvrdenie vlastnej neviny. Takto mohol hovoriť Mesiáš, ktorý naozaj trpel nevinne.

Z 69,12 - Trpiteľ si obliekol "vrecovinu", jednoduchý oblek z kozej srsti. Izraeliti ho nosievali na znak smútku a pokánia (Ž 30,12; 35,13; porov. Jn 3,5.6.8).
