1 (KJV) Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

2 (KJV) O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
2 (B21) Na Sionu ti, Bože, náležejí chvály, sliby ti dané budou splněny!
3 (KJV) Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
3 (B21) K tobě přichází každý smrtelník, neboť vyslýcháš naše modlitby.
4 (KJV) Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
4 (B21) Když nás přemáhají naše hříchy, od našich vin nás očistíš!
5 (KJV) By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
5 (B21) Blaze vyvoleným, které zveš, aby stanuli na tvých nádvořích! Dobrotou tvého domu se sytíme ve chrámu tvé svatosti.
6 (KJV) Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
6 (B21) Svými divy nám právo zjednáváš, Bože našeho spasení. Jsi přece nadějí všech končin světa i moří dalekých!
7 (KJV) Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
7 (B21) Ty, jenž svou silou hory utvrzuješ, ty, jenž jsi mocí oděný,
8 (KJV) They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
8 (B21) ty, jenž dokážeš zkrotit řev moře, jekot jeho vln, bouřící národy,
9 (KJV) Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
9 (B21) svými zázraky ohromuješ celý svět, od východu k západu jásot působíš!
10 (KJV) Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.
10 (B21) Navštěvuješ zemi a napájíš ji, zahrnuješ ji bohatstvím. Boží potok je plný vody, opatřuješ lidem obilí. Ty přece zemi zúrodňuješ,
11 (KJV) Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
11 (B21) zaléváš brázdy, hroudy rozdrtíš, hojnými lijáky ji obměkčuješ a žehnáš tomu, co roste z ní.
12 (KJV) They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
12 (B21) Korunuješ rok svou dobrotou, tvé stopy kanou hojností.
13 (KJV) The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
13 (B21) Zelené louky jsou, kde byla poušť, pahorky se halí radostí.

14 (B21) Pastviny se stády pokrývají, údolí se oblékají obilím. Už křičí radostí! Ano, už zpívají!

Z 65,1 - Žalm bol určený na verejnú bohoslužbu a najskôr sa spieval pred žatvou, teda na veľkonočné sviatky - "pesah". V druhý deň tohto sviatku sa už obetoval snôpok jačmeňa z novej úrody.
Z 65,2 - Zo Siona Pán rozdáva svoje milosti, preto sa mu tu treba aj poďakovať a splniť sľuby, ktorými si ľud vyprosil dobrodenia od Pána.
Z 65,10 - "Božia rieka", totižto dážď, ktorý prichádzal na zem - podľa semitského poňatia - z osobitných nádrží, umiestnených v nebesách.
Z 65,12 - Boh sa v SZ zobrazuje na voze z mračien a kade prechádza, roznáša požehnanie a hojnosť úrody (Dt 33,26).
