Žalmy

1 (KJV) Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru. Žalm Dávidov.

2 (KJV) Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
2 (ROH) Počuj, ó, Bože, môj hlas, keď pokorne volám! Ostríhaj môj život pred strachom nepriateľa.

3 (KJV) Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
3 (ROH) Skry ma pred tajnou radou zlostníkov, pred vzbúrou tých, ktorí páchajú neprávosť,

4 (KJV) That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
4 (ROH) ktorí naostrili svoj jazyk ako meč; namierili svoju strelu, horké slovo,

5 (KJV) They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
5 (ROH) aby z úkrytov strieľali do nevinného; strelia náhle do neho tak, čo sa nenazdá, a neboja sa.

6 (KJV) They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
6 (ROH) Upevňujú sa v zlej veci; rozprávajú, že vraj ukryť a nadstaviť osídla a hovoria, že veď kto ich vidí?!

7 (KJV) But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
7 (ROH) Vyhľadávajú nešľachetnosti. Bude nám koniec, keď bude plán vymyslený. A vnútro človeka a srdce je hlboké!

8 (KJV) So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
8 (ROH) Ale strelí do nich Bôh; prebodne ich strela, tak čo sa nenazdajú a budú porazení.

9 (KJV) And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
9 (ROH) A spôsobia to, že ich jazyk dopadne na nich na samých tak, že zdesení budú krútiť hlavou všetci, ktorí budú hľadieť na nich.

10 (KJV) The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
10 (ROH) A budú sa báť všetci ľudia a budú zvestovať skutok Boží a porozumejúc jeho dielu zmúdrejú.

11 (ROH) Spravedlivý sa bude radovať v Hospodinovi a utečie sa k nemu, a chváliť sa ním budú všetci, ktorí sú priameho srdca.
