Žalmy

1 (HEM) מזמור לדוד בהיותו במדבר יהודה אלהים אלי אתה אשחרך צמאה לך נפשי כמה לך בשרי בארץ ציה ועיף בלי מים׃
1 (UKJV) "O God, you are my God; early will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; "

2 (HEM) כן בקדש חזיתיך לראות עזך וכבודך׃
2 (UKJV) To see your power and your glory, so as I have seen you in the sanctuary.

3 (HEM) כי טוב חסדך מחיים שפתי ישבחונך׃
3 (UKJV) Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.

4 (HEM) כן אברכך בחיי בשמך אשא כפי׃
4 (UKJV) Thus will I bless you while I live: I will lift up my hands in your name.

5 (HEM) כמו חלב ודשן תשבע נפשי ושפתי רננות יהלל פי׃
5 (UKJV) "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips: "

6 (HEM) אם זכרתיך על יצועי באשמרות אהגה בך׃
6 (UKJV) When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.

7 (HEM) כי היית עזרתה לי ובצל כנפיך ארנן׃
7 (UKJV) Because you have been my help, therefore in the shadow of your wings will I rejoice.

8 (HEM) דבקה נפשי אחריך בי תמכה ימינך׃
8 (UKJV) My soul follows hard after you: your right hand upholds me.

9 (HEM) והמה לשואה יבקשו נפשי יבאו בתחתיות הארץ׃
9 (UKJV) But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 (HEM) יגירהו על ידי חרב מנת שעלים יהיו׃
10 (UKJV) They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 (HEM) והמלך ישמח באלהים יתהלל כל הנשבע בו כי יסכר פי דוברי שקר׃
11 (UKJV) "But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. "
