1 (KJV) Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

2 (KJV) He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
2 (B21) Jen v Bohu má duše odpočívá, od něj přichází má záchrana.
3 (KJV) How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
3 (B21) Jen on je má skála, moje spása, nepadnu nikdy, on je můj pevný hrad!
4 (KJV) They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
4 (B21) Jak dlouho budete v útoku pokračovat? To chcete všichni srazit člověka, který je sám jak zídka nahnutá, jak plot, který se rozpadá?
5 (KJV) My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
5 (B21) Jen na to myslí, jak by ho strhli, jak by ho zbavili jeho cti. Lež mají rádi, ústy dobrořečí, v srdci však srší kletbami!séla

7 (KJV) In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
7 (B21) Jen on je má skála, moje spása, nepadnu, on je můj pevný hrad!
8 (KJV) Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
8 (B21) V Bohu je má spása, moje sláva; má pevná skála, v Bohu je skrýše má.
9 (KJV) Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
9 (B21) V každý čas na něj, lidé, spoléhejte, před Bohem, naší skrýší, své srdce vylijte! séla
10 (KJV) Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
10 (B21) Jen pouhé nic jsou přece smrtelníci, lidští tvorové jsou jako přeludy: Budou-li spolu na váhu položeni, lehčí se ukážou než pouhé nic!
11 (KJV) God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
11 (B21) Nespoléhejte na bezpráví, nedoufejte marně v krádeže, a kdyby vzrůstalo vaše jmění, v srdci mu místo nedejte!
12 (KJV) Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
12 (B21) Jednou Bůh mluvil, dvakrát jsem to slyšel, že Bohu síla náleží.

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
Jób 34:11 - For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
Prís 24:12 - If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

Z 62 - žalmu.- Autorom žalmu je Dávid a obsah žalmu prezrádza, čo cítil a odkiaľ čerpal silu v ťažkých časoch Absolónovho prenasledovania (2 Sam 17).
Z 62,12 - Tu Žalmista chce zdôrazniť dve veci, teda prvé číslo umenšuje: "Raz prehovoril Boh, počul som toto dvoje". Teda: "raz… dvoje" značí toľko, ako že počul dvoje a pevne sa drží obidvoch vecí (porov. Prís 6,16-19; 30,15; Am 1,3).
