Ž 60, 1-12

1 (UKJV) "O God, you have cast us off, you have scattered us, you have been displeased; O turn yourself to us again. "
1 (LS) Au chef des chantres. Sur le lis lyrique. Hymne de David, pour enseigner. Lorsqu'il fit la guerre aux Syriens de Mésopotamie et aux Syriens de Tsoba, et que Joab revint et battit dans la vallée du sel douze mille Edomites. O Dieu! tu nous as repoussés, dispersés, Tu t'es irrité: relève-nous!

2 (UKJV) "You have made the earth to tremble; you have broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shakes. "
2 (LS) Tu as ébranlé la terre, tu l'as déchirée: Répare ses brèches, car elle chancelle!

3 (UKJV) You have showed your people hard things: you have made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
3 (LS) Tu as fait voir à ton peuple des choses dures, Tu nous as abreuvés d'un vin d'étourdissement.

4 (UKJV) You have given a banner to them that fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

6 (UKJV) "God has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. "
6 (LS) Dieu a dit dans sa sainteté: Je triompherai, Je partagerai Sichem, je mesurerai la vallée de Succoth;

7 (UKJV) "Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; "
7 (LS) A moi Galaad, à moi Manassé; Ephraïm est le rempart de ma tête, Et Juda, mon sceptre;

8 (UKJV) "Moab is my pot for washing; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph you because of me. "
8 (LS) Moab est le bassin où je me lave; Je jette mon soulier sur Edom; Pays des Philistins, pousse à mon sujet des cris de joie! -

9 (UKJV) Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
9 (LS) Qui me mènera dans la ville forte? Qui me conduira à Edom?

10 (UKJV) Will not you, O God, which had cast us off? and you, O God, which did not go out with our armies?
10 (LS) N'est-ce pas toi, ô Dieu, qui nous as repoussés, Et qui ne sortais plus, ô Dieu, avec nos armées?

11 (UKJV) Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
11 (LS) Donne-nous du secours contre la détresse! Le secours de l'homme n'est que vanité.

12 (UKJV) Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

"That your beloved may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me. "

Z 60,2 - Porov. 2 Sam 8,3-8; 10,6-19; 1 Krn 18 n.

Z 60,5 - Žalmista prirovnáva skúšku k opojnému nápoju, o ktorom sa nevedelo, že je taký silný.

Z 60,8 - Sichem (dnešný Nablús) je v strede Palestíny predjordánskej (Gn 33,18) a Sukot ("stany" - mesto stanov) zasa v strede zajordánskej Palestíny, neďaleko rieky Jaboka, v kraji kmeňa Gadovho (Gn 33,17 a Joz 13,27). Tieto dve mestá tu zastupujú celú zasľúbenú zem, východnú i západnú časť. Celú túto zem dal Boh do vlastníctva Izraelu.

Z 60,9 - Galaád bol kraj severne a južne od rieky Jaboka a patril kmeňom Gad a Ruben. Neskôr Galaád označoval celé Zajordánsko. Manasses (bol Jozefovým synom) mal polovicu vlastníctva za Jordánom a polovicu pred Jordánom. Efraim - druhý Jozefov syn. V čase obsadenia Palestíny bol kmeň Efraim najväčší a mal najudatnejších bojovníkov. Preto sa o ňom hovorí, že je "prilbou" Pánovej hlavy - akoby mal chrániť celé kráľovstvo. Lež popredným kmeňom vždy bol "Júda", z neho mali pochádzať králi vyvoleného národa, a preto sa nazýva Pánovým "žezlom", kmeňom, skrze ktorý Pán vládol nad ostatnými kmeňmi, nad celou Palestínou v zmysle zasľúbenej zeme.

Z 60,10 - Moabsko (na východ od Mŕtveho mora), Idumea (na juhu Predjordánska - Palestíny) a Filištínsko (pás zeme popri Stredozemnom mori). Moabčania budú ako sluhovia, čo prinášajú svojmu pánovi "umývadlo" na nohy. Izrael si ich podmaní a budú mu posluhovať. Podobne to bude aj s Idumejčanmi. Stúpiť na šiju je symbolom triumfu, víťazstva nad nepriateľom. - Idumejské opevnené mesto, ktoré chce Dávid zaujať, obrazne označuje víťazstvo nad celou Idumeou.
