Ž 57, 1-12

1 (KJV) Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru na nápev: Nezahub! Zlatý žalm Dávidov. Z času, keď utekal pred Saulom a bol sa skryl v jaskyni.

2 (KJV) I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
2 (ROH) Zmiluj sa nado mnou, ó, Bože, zmiluj sa nado mnou, lebo sa k tebe utieka moja duša, a nech sa utečiem do tône tvojich krýdel dokiaľ neprejde zkaza.

3 (KJV) He shall send from heaven, and save from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
3 (ROH) Volám na Najvyššieho Boha, na silného Boha, ktorý dokonáva za mňa.

4 (KJV) My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
4 (ROH) Pošle z nebies a zachráni ma, potupí toho, ktorý dychtí, aby ma pohltil. Sélah. Bôh pošle svoju milosť a svoju pravdu.

5 (KJV) Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
5 (ROH) Moja duša je medzi ľvami; líham medzi soptiacimi oheň, medzi synmi človeka, ktorých zuby sú jako kopija a jako strelné šípy a ich jazyk je ako ostrý meč.

6 (KJV) They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
6 (ROH) Vyvýš sa nad nebesia, Bože, nad celú zem tvoja sláva!

7 (KJV) My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
7 (ROH) Boli pripravili mojim krokom sieť; zohnuli moju dušu; vykopali predo mnou jamu; ale sami padli do nej. Sélah.

8 (KJV) Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
8 (ROH) Moje srdce je hotové, Bože; moje srdce je hotové, spievať ti budem a oslavovať ťa budem žalmami.

9 (KJV) I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
9 (ROH) Zobuď sa, moja slávo; zobuď sa, harfo a citaro, nech zobudím rannú zoru!

10 (KJV) For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
10 (ROH) Chváliť ťa budem medzi národami, ó, Pane, žalmy ti budem spievať medzi ľuďmi.

11 (KJV) Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
11 (ROH) Lebo tvoja milosť je veľká a sahá až po nebesia a tvoja pravda až po najvyššie oblaky.

12 ----
12 (ROH) Vyvýš sa nad nebesia, ó, Bože; nad celú zem nech sa vyvýši tvoja sláva!

1Sam 22:1 - David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.

1Sam 24:3 - And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.

Verš 6

They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.

Ž 7:15 - He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

Ž 9:15 - The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

Ž 108:1 - O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Verš 9

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.

Ž 108:3 - I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

Verš 10

For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

Ž 36:5 - Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Ž 108:4 - For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
