Žalmy

1 (KJV) Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru na nechilót, dutý to nástroj hudobný. Žalm Dávidov.

2 (KJV) Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
2 (ROH) Hospodine, počuj moje slová, rozumej tomu, čo hovorím v tichej pokore.

3 (KJV) My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
3 (ROH) Pozoruj na hlas môjho pokorného volania, môj Kráľu a môj Bože, lebo sa tebe modlím.

4 (KJV) For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
4 (ROH) Hospodine, ráno počuj môj hlas; ráno ti predložím svoju vec a budem pozorovať.

5 (KJV) The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
5 (ROH) Lebo ty nie si Bohom, ktorý by mal záľubu v bezbožnosti; nebude s tebou bývať zlý.

6 (KJV) Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
6 (ROH) Blázni neobstoja pred tvojimi očima; nenávidíš všetkých, ktorí robia neprávosť.

7 (KJV) But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
7 (ROH) Zahubíš tých, ktorí hovoria lož. Človek krvi a ľsti sa oškliví Hospodinovi.

8 (KJV) Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
8 (ROH) Ale ja v množstve tvojej milosti vojdem do tvojho domu a budem sa klaňať, obrátený k chrámu tvojej svätosti, v tvojej bázni.

9 (KJV) For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
9 (ROH) Hospodine, voď ma vo svojej spravedlivosti pre tých, ktorí ma strežú. Urovnaj predo mnou svoju cestu.

10 (KJV) Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
10 (ROH) Lebo niet stáleho v jeho ústach. Ich nútro je zývajúca priepasť, ich hrdlo otvorený hrob, a jazykom lichotia.

11 (KJV) But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
11 (ROH) Uvaľ na nich, ó, Bože, ich vinu! Nech padnú od svojich rád; zažeň ich pre množstvo ich prestúpení, lebo sa ti protivia.

12 (KJV) For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
12 (ROH) A nech sa radujú všetci, ktorí sa utiekajú k tebe; nech plesajú na veky, a ochraňuj ich, a nech sa veselia v tebe tí, ktorí milujú tvoje meno.

13 (ROH) Lebo ty požehnáš spravedlivého, ó, Hospodine, ľúbosťou ho objímeš ako štítom.
