1 (HEM) למנצח לבני קרח משכיל אלהים באזנינו שמענו אבותינו ספרו לנו פעל פעלת בימיהם בימי קדם׃
1 (KAT) Zbormajstrovi. Poučný chválospev Koreho synov.
1 (UKJV) We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the times of old.

2 (HEM) אתה ידך גוים הורשת ותטעם תרע לאמים ותשלחם׃
2 (KAT) Bože, na vlastné uši sme počuli, naši otcovia nám rozprávali o dielach, ktoré si vykonal za ich dní, za dní pradávnych.
2 (UKJV) "How you did drive out the heathen with your hand, and planted them; how you did afflict the people, and cast them out. "

3 (HEM) כי לא בחרבם ירשו ארץ וזרועם לא הושיעה למו כי ימינך וזרועך ואור פניך כי רציתם׃
3 (KAT) Ty si svojou rukou vyhnal pohanov a našich otcov si usadil, zničil si národy, a našich otcov si rozmnožil.
3 (UKJV) For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, because you had a favour unto them.

4 (HEM) אתה הוא מלכי אלהים צוה ישועות יעקב׃
4 (KAT) Veď nie svojím mečom získali krajinu, nepomohlo im vlastné rameno, ale tvoja pravica, tvoje rameno a jas tvojej tváre, lebo ich máš rád.
4 (UKJV) You are my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.

5 (HEM) בך צרינו ננגח בשמך נבוס קמינו׃
5 (KAT) Ty si môj kráľ a môj Boh, ty pomáhaš Jakubovi.
5 (UKJV) Through you will we push down our enemies: through your name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

6 (HEM) כי לא בקשתי אבטח וחרבי לא תושיעני׃
6 (KAT) Len s tebou sme zahnali nepriateľov a v tvojom mene zničili tých, čo sa vzbúrili proti nám.
6 (UKJV) For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

7 (HEM) כי הושעתנו מצרינו ומשנאינו הבישות׃
7 (KAT) Nespolieham sa veru na svoj luk, ani môj meč ma nezachráni.
7 (UKJV) But you have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame that hated us.

8 (HEM) באלהים הללנו כל היום ושמך לעולם נודה סלה׃
8 (KAT) Ty si nás zachránil pred utláčateľmi a zahanbil si tých, čo nás nenávideli.
8 (UKJV) In God we boast all the day long, and praise your name for ever. Selah.

9 (HEM) אף זנחת ותכלימנו ולא תצא בצבאותינו׃
9 (KAT) V Bohu sa budeme chváliť celý deň a naveky budeme velebiť tvoje meno.
9 (UKJV) "But you have cast off, and put us to shame; and go not forth with our armies. "

10 (HEM) תשיבנו אחור מני צר ומשנאינו שסו למו׃
10 (KAT) Ale teraz si nás zavrhol a zahanbil, už netiahneš, Bože, s našimi vojmi.
10 (UKJV) You make us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.

11 (HEM) תתננו כצאן מאכל ובגוים זריתנו׃
11 (KAT) Zahnal si nás na útek pred našimi nepriateľmi a sme korisťou tých, čo nás nenávidia.
11 (UKJV) "You have given us like sheep appointed for food; and have scattered us among the heathen. "

12 (HEM) תמכר עמך בלא הון ולא רבית במחיריהם׃
12 (KAT) Vydal si nás ako ovce na zabitie a roztrúsil si nás medzi pohanov.
12 (UKJV) You sell your people for nothing, and do not increase your wealth by their price.

13 (HEM) תשימנו חרפה לשכנינו לעג וקלס לסביבותינו׃
13 (KAT) Svoj ľud si predal bez zisku a neobohatil si sa jeho predajom.
13 (UKJV) You make us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

14 (HEM) תשימנו משל בגוים מנוד ראש בל אמים׃
14 (KAT) Vystavil si nás na potupu susedom a na posmech i pohanu nášmu okoliu.
14 (UKJV) You make us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

15 (HEM) כל היום כלמתי נגדי ובשת פני כסתני׃
15 (KAT) Urobil si z nás príslovie pre pohanov a národy krútia hlavou nad nami.
15 (UKJV) My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face has covered me,

16 (HEM) מקול מחרף ומגדף מפני אויב ומתנקם׃
16 (KAT) Celý deň mám pred očami svoju potupu a rumenec hanby mi pokrýva tvár,
16 (UKJV) "For the voice of him that reproaches and blasphemes; by reason of the enemy and avenger. "

17 (HEM) כל זאת באתנו ולא שכחנוך ולא שקרנו בבריתך׃
17 (KAT) keď počúvam potupné a posmešné hlasy, keď vidím, ako nepriateľ horí pomstou.
17 (UKJV) "All this has come upon us; yet have we not forgotten you, neither have we dealt falsely in your covenant. "

18 (HEM) לא נסוג אחור לבנו ותט אשרינו מני ארחך׃
18 (KAT) Toto všetko nás postihlo, hoci sme nezabudli na teba a neporušili sme zmluvu s tebou.
18 (UKJV) "Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from your way; "

19 (HEM) כי דכיתנו במקום תנים ותכס עלינו בצלמות׃
19 (KAT) Naše srdce sa neodvrátilo od teba, ani naše kroky nezišli z tvojej cesty,
19 (UKJV) Though you have sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

20 (HEM) אם שכחנו שם אלהינו ונפרש כפינו לאל זר׃
20 (KAT) a predsa si nás ponížil v kraji líšok a zahalil tôňou smrti.
20 (UKJV) "If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; "

21 (HEM) הלא אלהים יחקר זאת כי הוא ידע תעלמות לב׃
21 (KAT) Keby sme zabudli na meno nášho Boha a vzpínali ruky k bohu cudziemu,
21 (UKJV) Shall not God search this out? for he knows the secrets of the heart.

22 (HEM) כי עליך הרגנו כל היום נחשבנו כצאן טבחה׃
22 (KAT) či Boh na to nepríde? On predsa pozná tajnosti srdca.
22 (UKJV) "Yea, for your sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. "

23 (HEM) עורה למה תישן אדני הקיצה אל תזנח לנצח׃
23 (KAT) Veď pre teba nás usmrcujú deň čo deň, pokladajú nás za ovce na zabitie.
23 (UKJV) Awake, why sleep you, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.

24 (HEM) למה פניך תסתיר תשכח ענינו ולחצנו׃
24 (KAT) Prebuď sa, Pane, prečo spíš? Vstaň a nezavrhni nás navždy.
24 (UKJV) Wherefore hide you your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?

25 (HEM) כי שחה לעפר נפשנו דבקה לארץ בטננו׃
25 (KAT) Prečo odvraciaš svoju tvár? Vari môžeš zabudnúť na našu biedu a naše súženie?
25 (UKJV) For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaves unto the earth.

26 (HEM) קומה עזרתה לנו ופדנו למען חסדך׃
26 (KAT) Veď naša duša je pokorená až do prachu, naše telo je pritlačené k zemi. Vstaň, Pane, pomôž nám a vykúp nás, veď si milosrdný.
26 (UKJV) Arise for our help, and redeem us for your mercies' sake.
