1 (HEM) לדוד אל תתחר במרעים אל תקנא בעשי עולה׃
1 (UKJV) Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be you envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 (HEM) כי כחציר מהרה ימלו וכירק דשא יבולון׃
2 (UKJV) For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 (HEM) בטח ביהוה ועשה טוב שכן ארץ ורעה אמונה׃
3 (UKJV) "Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed. "

4 (HEM) והתענג על יהוה ויתן לך משאלת לבך׃
4 (UKJV) Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 (HEM) גול על יהוה דרכך ובטח עליו והוא יעשה׃
5 (UKJV) "Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. "

6 (HEM) והוציא כאור צדקך ומשפטך כצהרים׃
6 (UKJV) And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday.

7 (HEM) דום ליהוה והתחולל לו אל תתחר במצליח דרכו באיש עשה מזמות׃
7 (UKJV) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

8 (HEM) הרף מאף ועזב חמה אל תתחר אך להרע׃
8 (UKJV) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself in any way to do evil.

9 (HEM) כי מרעים יכרתון וקוי יהוה המה יירשו ארץ׃
9 (UKJV) For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 (HEM) ועוד מעט ואין רשע והתבוננת על מקומו ואיננו׃
10 (UKJV) For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 (HEM) וענוים יירשו ארץ והתענגו על רב שלום׃
11 (UKJV) "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. "

12 (HEM) זמם רשע לצדיק וחרק עליו שניו׃
12 (UKJV) The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes upon him with his teeth.

13 (HEM) אדני ישחק לו כי ראה כי יבא יומו׃
13 (UKJV) The LORD shall laugh at him: for he sees that his day is coming.

14 (HEM) חרב פתחו רשעים ודרכו קשתם להפיל עני ואביון לטבוח ישרי דרך׃
14 (UKJV) The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 (HEM) חרבם תבוא בלבם וקשתותם תשברנה׃
15 (UKJV) Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 (HEM) טוב מעט לצדיק מהמון רשעים רבים׃
16 (UKJV) A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 (HEM) כי זרועות רשעים תשברנה וסומך צדיקים יהוה׃
17 (UKJV) For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholds the righteous.

18 (HEM) יודע יהוה ימי תמימם ונחלתם לעולם תהיה׃
18 (UKJV) The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 (HEM) לא יבשו בעת רעה ובימי רעבון ישבעו׃
19 (UKJV) They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 (HEM) כי רשעים יאבדו ואיבי יהוה כיקר כרים כלו בעשן כלו׃
20 (UKJV) "But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. "

21 (HEM) לוה רשע ולא ישלם וצדיק חונן ונותן׃
21 (UKJV) The wicked borrows, and pays not again: but the righteous shows mercy, and gives.

22 (HEM) כי מברכיו יירשו ארץ ומקלליו יכרתו׃
22 (UKJV) "For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. "

23 (HEM) מיהוה מצעדי גבר כוננו ודרכו יחפץ׃
23 (UKJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.

24 (HEM) כי יפל לא יוטל כי יהוה סומך ידו׃
24 (UKJV) Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

25 (HEM) נער הייתי גם זקנתי ולא ראיתי צדיק נעזב וזרעו מבקש לחם׃
25 (UKJV) "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. "

26 (HEM) כל היום חונן ומלוה וזרעו לברכה׃
26 (UKJV) "He is ever merciful, and lends; and his seed is blessed. "

27 (HEM) סור מרע ועשה טוב ושכן לעולם׃
27 (UKJV) "Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. "

28 (HEM) כי יהוה אהב משפט ולא יעזב את חסידיו לעולם נשמרו וזרע רשעים נכרת׃
28 (UKJV) "For the LORD loves judgment, and forsakes not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. "

29 (HEM) צדיקים יירשו ארץ וישכנו לעד עליה׃
29 (UKJV) The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 (HEM) פי צדיק יהגה חכמה ולשונו תדבר משפט׃
30 (UKJV) The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.

31 (HEM) תורת אלהיו בלבו לא תמעד אשריו׃
31 (UKJV) "The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. "

32 (HEM) צופה רשע לצדיק ומבקש להמיתו׃
32 (UKJV) The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.

33 (HEM) יהוה לא יעזבנו בידו ולא ירשיענו בהשפטו׃
33 (UKJV) The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 (HEM) קוה אל יהוה ושמר דרכו וירוממך לרשת ארץ בהכרת רשעים תראה׃
34 (UKJV) Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35 (HEM) ראיתי רשע עריץ ומתערה כאזרח רענן׃
35 (UKJV) I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 (HEM) ויעבר והנה איננו ואבקשהו ולא נמצא׃
36 (UKJV) Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 (HEM) שמר תם וראה ישר כי אחרית לאיש שלום׃
37 (UKJV) Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 (HEM) ופשעים נשמדו יחדו אחרית רשעים נכרתה׃
38 (UKJV) But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 (HEM) ותשועת צדיקים מיהוה מעוזם בעת צרה׃
39 (UKJV) But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 (HEM) ויעזרם יהוה ויפלטם יפלטם מרשעים ויושיעם כי חסו בו׃
40 (UKJV) And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
