Žalmy

1 (UKJV) Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be you envious against the workers of iniquity.
1 (ROH) Nehnevaj sa na zlostníkov! Nezáviď tým, ktorí páchajú neprávosť.

2 (UKJV) For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
2 (ROH) Lebo budú rýchle podťatí jako tráva a uvädnú jako zeleň sviežej byliny.

3 (UKJV) "Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed. "
3 (ROH) Nadej sa na Hospodina a čiň dobré; bývaj v zemi a živ sa spravedlive.

4 (UKJV) Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
4 (ROH) Kochaj sa v Hospodinovi, a dá ti žiadosti tvojho srdca.

5 (UKJV) "Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. "
5 (ROH) Uvaľ na Hospodina svoju cestu a nadej sa na neho, a on učiní.

6 (UKJV) And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday.
6 (ROH) A vyvedie tvoju spravedlivosť ako svetlo a tvoj súd ako poludnie.

7 (UKJV) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
7 (ROH) Mlč Hospodinovi a čakaj na neho! Nehnevaj sa na toho, ktorému sa darí jeho cesta, na človeka, ktorý robí falošne.

8 (UKJV) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself in any way to do evil.
8 (ROH) Nechaj hnev a opusti prchlivosť! Nehnevaj sa, a to ešte aby si urobil zlé!

9 (UKJV) For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
9 (ROH) Lebo zlostníci budú vyťatí, ale tí, ktorí očakávajú na Hospodina, zdedia zem.

10 (UKJV) For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
10 (ROH) A len málo ešte, a nebude bezbožníka, a pozrieš dobre na jeho miesto, a nebude ho.

11 (UKJV) "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. "
11 (ROH) Ale pokorní zdedia zem a budú sa tešiť veľkému pokoju.

12 (UKJV) The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes upon him with his teeth.
12 (ROH) Bezbožný zamýšľa spravedlivému zlé a škrípe na neho svojimi zubami.

13 (UKJV) The LORD shall laugh at him: for he sees that his day is coming.
13 (ROH) Ale Pán sa mu smeje, lebo vidí, že ide jeho deň.

14 (UKJV) The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
14 (ROH) Bezbožníci vytasili meč a napäli svoje lučište, aby porazili biedneho a chudobného, aby pobili tých, ktorí idú priamou cestou.

15 (UKJV) Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
15 (ROH) Ale ich meč vojde do ich vlastného srdca, a ich lučištia budú polámané.

16 (UKJV) A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.
16 (ROH) Lepšie je málo, čo má spravedlivý, než veľké bohatstvo bezbožných, a to mnohých.

17 (UKJV) For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholds the righteous.
17 (ROH) Lebo ramená bezbožných budú polámané, ale ten, kto podopiera spravedlivých, je Hospodin.

18 (UKJV) The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
18 (ROH) Hospodin zná dni bezúhonných, a ich dedičstvo bude trvať na veky.

19 (UKJV) They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
19 (ROH) Nebudú sa hanbiť v zlý čas a nasýtia sa vo dňoch hladu.

20 (UKJV) "But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. "
20 (ROH) Ale bezbožníci istotne zahynú, a nepriatelia Hospodinovi sa pominú jako prelesť lúk, pominú sa jako dym.

21 (UKJV) The wicked borrows, and pays not again: but the righteous shows mercy, and gives.
21 (ROH) Bezbožný požičiava a neplatí, ale spravedlivý sa zmilováva a dáva.

22 (UKJV) "For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. "
22 (ROH) Lebo tí, ktorým on požehnal, zdedia zem, ale tí, ktorým zlorečil, budú vyťatí.

23 (UKJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.
23 (ROH) Od Hospodina sú staväné kroky muža, a jeho cesta sa mu ľúbi.

24 (UKJV) Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
24 (ROH) Keby aj padol, nebude porazený, lebo Hospodin podopiera jeho ruku.

25 (UKJV) "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. "
25 (ROH) Mladý som bol aj som sa zostarel, ale som nevidel spravedlivého opusteného ani jeho semena žobrať chleba.

26 (UKJV) "He is ever merciful, and lends; and his seed is blessed. "
26 (ROH) Každý deň sa zmilováva a vypožičiava, a jeho semeno je na požehnanie.

27 (UKJV) "Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. "
27 (ROH) Odstúp od zlého a čiň dobré a bývaj na veky!

28 (UKJV) "For the LORD loves judgment, and forsakes not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. "
28 (ROH) Lebo Hospodin miluje súd a neopustí svojich svätých; sú strážení na veky; ale semeno bezbožníkov bude vyťaté.

29 (UKJV) The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
29 (ROH) Spravedliví zaujmú dedične zem a budú na nej bývať na veky.

30 (UKJV) The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.
30 (ROH) Ústa spravedlivého vravia múdrosť, a jeho jazyk hovorí súd.

31 (UKJV) "The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. "
31 (ROH) Zákon jeho Boha je v jeho srdci; jeho kroky sú isté.

32 (UKJV) The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.
32 (ROH) Bezbožný striehne spravedlivého a hľadá jakoby ho pripravil o život.

33 (UKJV) The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
33 (ROH) Ale Hospodin ho neopustí a neponechá ho v jeho ruke ani ho nedá odsúdiť, keď by bol súdený.

34 (UKJV) Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
34 (ROH) Očakávaj na Hospodina a ostríhaj jeho cestu, a povýši ťa, aby si dedične zaujal zem, z ktorej že bezbožníci budú vyťatí, uvidíš.

35 (UKJV) I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
35 (ROH) Videl som ukrutného bezbožníka ohromnej sily, rozvetveného jako samorastlý strom zelený v domácej zemi.

36 (UKJV) Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
36 (ROH) Ale sa pominul. A hľa, nebolo ho; hľadal som ho, ale sa nenašiel.

37 (UKJV) Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
37 (ROH) Pozoruj nevinného a vidz priameho a uvidíš, že budúcnosť má človek pokoja.

38 (UKJV) But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
38 (ROH) Ale priestupníci budú vyplienení všetci dovedna; koniec bezbožníkov bude ich vyťatie.

39 (UKJV) But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
39 (ROH) Ale spasenie spravedlivých je od Hospodina, ktorý je ich pevnosťou v čase súženia,

40 (UKJV) And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
40 (ROH) a Hospodin im pomôže a vyslobodí ich, vyslobodí ich od bezbožníkov a zachráni ich, lebo sa utiekajú k nemu.
