Žalmy

1 (KJV) The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru. Žalm služobníka Hospodinovho Dávida.

2 (KJV) For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
2 (ROH) Nepravá reč bezbožníka ma usvedčuje hlboko v mojom srdci o tom, že niet bázne Božej pred jeho očima.

3 (KJV) The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
3 (ROH) Lebo si lichotí vo svojich očiach, aby našla jeho neprávosť príčinu nenávidieť.

4 (KJV) He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
4 (ROH) Slová jeho úst sú márnosť a lesť; prestal mať rozum, aby robil dobré.

5 (KJV) Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
5 (ROH) O márnosti rozmýšľa na svojom ležisku; stavia sa na cestu, ktorá nie je dobrá; nezavrhuje toho, čo je zlé.

6 (KJV) Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
6 (ROH) Hospodine, tvoja milosť sahá až do nebies, tvoja vernosť až po najvyššie oblaky.

7 (KJV) How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
7 (ROH) Tvoja spravedlivosť stojí pevne jako vrchy silného Boha; tvoje súdy sú jako veľká hlbina; zachrániš človeka i hovädo, ó, Hospodine!

8 (KJV) They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
8 (ROH) Jaká predrahá je tvoja milosť, ó, Bože, a preto sa synovia človeka utiekajú do tône tvojich krýdel.

9 (KJV) For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
9 (ROH) Oplývajú tukom tvojho domu, a napájaš ich z potoka svojich rozkoší.

10 (KJV) O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
10 (ROH) Lebo u teba je prameň života; v tvojom svetle vidíme svetlo.

11 (KJV) Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
11 (ROH) Predĺž svoju milosť tým, ktorí ťa znajú, a svoju spravedlivosť tým, ktorí sú priameho srdca!

12 (KJV) There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
12 (ROH) Nech neprijde na mňa noha pýchy, a ruka bezbožných nech ma nezaženie!

13 (ROH) No, činitelia neprávosti padnú tam, kde ich sotia, a nebudú môcť povstať.
