Žalmy

1 (KJV) The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 (KJV) For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
2 (B21) Zvrácenost sídlí v srdci ničemy, na bázeň před Bohem vůbec nehledí!

3 (KJV) The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
3 (B21) Dle svého mínění si může lichotit, svou vinu nevnímá, nemá k ní nenávist.

4 (KJV) He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
4 (B21) Jeho ústa mluví lstivě a ničemně, konání dobra přestal rozumět.

5 (KJV) Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
5 (B21) I na svém lůžku podlost vymýšlí, na cestě nekalosti stojí, zla se neštítí.

6 (KJV) Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
6 (B21) Tvá láska, Hospodine, dosahuje k nebi, tvá věrnost sahá k oblakům.

7 (KJV) How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
7 (B21) Tvá spravedlnost je jak mohutné hory, tvé zákony jsou hloubka nesmírná - lidem i zvěři, Hospodine, pomáháš!

8 (KJV) They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
8 (B21) Tvá láska, Bože, je nad cenné poklady, do stínu tvých křídel se lidé uchýlí!

9 (KJV) For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
9 (B21) Hojností tvého domu bývají nasyceni, z rajských potoků je napájíš.

10 (KJV) O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
10 (B21) Pramen života je přece u tebe a ve tvém světle světlo vidíme.

11 (KJV) Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
11 (B21) Svou lásku rozestři na ty, kdo tě znají, svou spravedlnost na v srdci upřímné.

12 (KJV) There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
12 (B21) Ať už nešlape po mně noha pyšných, ruka darebáků ať nepronásleduje mě!
