1 (CPDV) To David, when he changed his appearance in the sight of Abimelech, and so he dismissed him, and he went away.
1 (ROH) Plesajte, spravedliví, v Hospodinovi! Úprimným sluší chvála.
2 (CPDV) I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will be ever in my mouth.
2 (ROH) Oslavujte Hospodina na citare a na harfe o desiatich strunách; spievajte mu žalmy!
3 (CPDV) In the Lord, my soul will be praised. May the meek listen and rejoice.
3 (ROH) Spievajte mu novú pieseň; huďte dobre s radostným pokrikom!
4 (CPDV) Magnify the Lord with me, and let us extol his name in itself.
4 (ROH) Lebo slovo Hospodinovo je priame, a každé jeho dielo je stále.
5 (CPDV) I sought the Lord, and he heeded me, and he carried me away from all my tribulations.
5 (ROH) Milujte spravedlivosť a súd; zem je plná milosti Hospodinovej.
6 (CPDV) Approach him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be confounded.
6 (ROH) Slovom Hospodinovým učinené sú nebesia a duchom jeho úst všetko ich vojsko.
7 (CPDV) This poor one cried out, and the Lord heeded him, and he saved him from all his tribulations.
7 (ROH) Hromadí vody mora a stavia ich ako hať; dáva priepasti medzi poklady.
8 (CPDV) The Angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear him, and he will rescue them.
8 (ROH) Nech sa bojí Hospodina celá zem; nech sa ho strachujú všetci obyvatelia okruhu sveta.
9 (CPDV) Taste and see that the Lord is sweet. Blessed is the man who hopes in him.
9 (ROH) Lebo on povedal, a stalo sa; on rozkázal, a postavilo sa.
10 (CPDV) Fear the Lord, all you his saints. For there is no destitution for those who fear him.
10 (ROH) Hospodin ruší radu národov; na nič obracia myšlienky ľudí.
11 (CPDV) The rich have been needy and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good thing.
11 (ROH) Rada Hospodinova stojí na veky, myšlienky jeho srdca z pokolenia na pokolenie.
12 (CPDV) Come forward, sons. Listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

17 (CPDV) But the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil, to perish the remembrance of them from the earth.

18 (CPDV) The just cried out, and the Lord heard them, and 315 he freed them from all their tribulations.
18 (ROH) Hľa, oko Hospodinovo hľadí na tých, ktorí sa ho boja, na tých, ktorí očakávajú na jeho milosť,
19 (CPDV) The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit.

20 (CPDV) Many are the afflictions of the just, but from them all the Lord will free them.
20 (ROH) Naša duša čaká Hospodina; našou pomocou a naším štítom je on.
21 (CPDV) The Lord preserves all of their bones, not one of them shall be broken.
21 (ROH) Lebo v ňom sa bude radovať naše srdce, pretože sa nadejeme na meno jeho svätosti.
22 (CPDV) The death of a sinner is very harmful, and those who hate the just will fare badly.
22 (ROH) Nech je, ó, Hospodine, tvoja milosť nad nami, jako očakávame na teba.
23 (CPDV) The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants, and none of those who hope in him will fare badly.

To David, when he changed his appearance in the sight of Abimelech, and so he dismissed him, and he went away.

Verš 3
In the Lord, my soul will be praised. May the meek listen and rejoice.

Come forward, sons. Listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
