1 (KJV) In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

2 (KJV) Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
2 (B21) Spoléhám na tebe, Hospodine, kéž nejsem nikdy zahanben, pro svoji spravedlnost zachraň mě!

3 (KJV) For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
3 (B21) Nakloň mi prosím ucho své, pospěš mi na pomoc, buď mojí skálou mohutnou, opevněnou tvrzí, mou záchranou!

4 (KJV) Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.
4 (B21) Jsi přece má skála a má tvrz, pro své jméno mě veď a provázej.

5 (KJV) Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
5 (B21) Vyveď mě z pasti, kterou mi nastražili, vždyť jsi mou posilou!

6 (KJV) I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.
6 (B21) Do tvých rukou svěřuji svého ducha, Hospodine, věrný Bože, vykup mě!

7 (KJV) I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
7 (B21) Nesnesu ctitele marných nicotností, mou nadějí je Hospodin.

8 (KJV) And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
8 (B21) Jásat a radovat se budu z tvé lásky, že jsi pohlédl na mé trápení, žes poznal mou duši uprostřed úzkosti.

9 (KJV) Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.
9 (B21) Nevydáš mě napospas mému nepříteli, svobodu daruješ nohám mým!

10 (KJV) For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
10 (B21) Smiluj se, Hospodine, je mi tak úzko, zármutkem oči hasnou mi, rovněž má duše, mé útroby!

11 (KJV) I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
11 (B21) Můj život stravuje trápení, má léta samé sténání, má síla slábne strádáním, mé údy ochably.

12 (KJV) I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
12 (B21) Všem svým protivníkům jsem pro zábavu, pro své sousedy jsem pohromou, i svým přátelům jsem za příšeru, ti, kdo mě potkají, prchají přede mnou!

13 (KJV) For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.
13 (B21) Padl jsem v zapomnění tak jako mrtvý, rozbitému hrnci se podobám.

14 (KJV) But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
14 (B21) Od tolika lidí slyším pomluvy - hrůza ze všech stran! Už se proti mně spolu domlouvají, chtějí mě zbavit života!

15 (KJV) My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
15 (B21) Já ale, Hospodine, doufám v tebe, o tobě říkám: "Můj Bůh jsi ty!"

16 (KJV) Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.
16 (B21) Můj osud v ruce máš, vysvoboď mě z ruky nepřátel, kteří mě stíhají!

17 (KJV) Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.
17 (B21) Rozjasni svou tvář nad svým služebníkem, pro svoji lásku zachraň mě!

18 (KJV) Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
18 (B21) Ať nejsem zahanben, Hospodine, když k tobě zní mé volání! Ať jsou však zahanbeni oni darebáci, do hrobu ať klesnou v mlčení!

19 (KJV) Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
19 (B21) Ať už oněmí ty lživé rty - o nevinném mluví tak tvrdě, pyšně a potupně!

20 (KJV) Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
20 (B21) Jak veliká je tvá dobrota, kterou jsi zachoval těm, kdo tě ctí! Dokázals ji těm, kdo v tebe doufají, všem lidem na odiv!

21 (KJV) Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
21 (B21) Skrýváš je v úkrytu svojí tváře před lidskou hrubostí, chováš je v bezpečí svého stanu před hádavými jazyky.

22 (KJV) For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
22 (B21) Požehnán buď Hospodin - svou úžasnou lásku ke mně projevil, když jsem byl ve městě obklíčen.

23 (KJV) O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
23 (B21) Tehdy jsem řekl ve svém rozrušení: "Od očí tvých jsem zavržen!" Ty jsi však vyslyšel moje prosby, když k tobě volal jsem.

24 (KJV) Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
24 (B21) Milujte Hospodina všichni jeho zbožní, Hospodin své věrné ochrání! Bohatě ale odplatí těm, kdo se pyšně chovají.

25 (B21) Buďte silní a v srdci stateční, všichni, jichž nadějí je Hospodin!
