Ž 3, 1-9

1 (KJV) LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
1 (KAT) Dávidov žalm. Keď utekal pred synom Absolónom.

2 (KJV) Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
2 (KAT) Pane, jak mnoho je tých, čo ma sužujú! Mnohí povstávajú proti mne.

3 (KJV) But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
3 (KAT) Mnohí o mne hovoria: „Boh mu nepomáha.“

4 (KJV) I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
4 (KAT) Ale ty, Pane, si môj ochranca, moja sláva, čo mi hlavu vztyčuje.

5 (KJV) I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
5 (KAT) Hlasne som volal k Pánovi a on mi odpovedal zo svojho svätého vrchu.

6 (KJV) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
6 (KAT) A ja som sa uložil na odpočinok a usnul som, prebudil som sa, lebo Pán ma udržuje.

7 (KJV) Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
7 (KAT) Nebudem sa báť tisícov ľudí, čo ma obkľučujú. Povstaň, Pane; zachráň ma, Bože môj.

8 (KJV) Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
8 (KAT) Veď ty si udrel mojich nepriateľov po tvári a hriešnikom si zuby vylámal.

9 (KAT) Pane, ty si naša spása. Na tvoj ľud nech zostúpi tvoje požehnanie.

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

Jer 3:23 - Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.

Ž 4:8 - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Verš 6
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
Ž 27:3 - Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
