Biblia - Sväté písmo

(KJV - Anglický - King James)

Ž 2, 1-12

1 (KJV) Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
1 (ROH) Prečo sa búria národy, a ľudia myslia márne veci?

2 (KJV) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3 (KJV) Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 (KJV) He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 (KJV) Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
5 (ROH) Vtedy bude hovoriť s nimi vo svojom hneve a svojou prchlivosťou ich predesí a povie:

6 (KJV) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
6 (ROH) Ale ja som ustanovil svojho kráľa nad Sionom, vrchom svojej svätosti.

7 (KJV) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
7 (ROH) Rozprávať budem o ustanovení zákona. Hospodin mi povedal: Ty si môj syn; ja som ťa dnes splodil.

8 (KJV) Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
8 (ROH) Požiadaj odo mňa, a dám ti národy, tvoje dedičstvo, tvoje državie, končiny zeme.

9 (KJV) Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
9 (ROH) Roztlčieš ich železným prútom; roztrieskaš ich ako nádobu hrnčiara.

10 (KJV) Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 (KJV) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
11 (ROH) Slúžte Hospodinovi v bázni a veseľte sa s trasením.

12 (KJV) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Prorocký a mesiášsky charakter tohto žalmu viac ráz vyzdvihujú novozákonní inšpirovaní autori: Sk 4,25-28; 13,33; Rim 1,4; Hebr 1,5; 5,5; Zjv 12,5; 19,15 atď., židovská a kresťanská tradícia.

Plné uskutočnenie tohto proroctva bude v Cirkvi, ktorú Mesiáš založí, a časy pred koncom sveta ukážu plnosť pravdy týchto slov (Zjv 2,25-27).
