Praise him with psaltery and stringed instrument. 4 Ž 150, 4 Praise him with timbrel and choir. Praise him with strings and organ. 5 Ž 150, 5 Praise him with sweet-sounding cymbals. Alleluia. Praise the Lord in his holy places. Praise him in the firmament of his power.
Iz 6:3 - And they were crying out to one another, and saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts! All the earth is filled with his glory!”
Z 150 - Tento žalm je doxológiou, záverečným chválospevom nielen k 5. knihe žalmov, ale aj k celému Žaltáru. - Obsahovo sa podobá 148. žalmu.
Z 150,1 - "Chváľte Pána v jeho svätyni", rozumej v pozemskom chráme. Teda ľudia majú chváliť Pána. - "Chváľte ho na jeho vznešenej oblohe", čiže v nebeskom chráme, v nebi. Pána majú chváliť aj anjeli a všetko, čo je v nebi (pozri Ž 148,2-6).
Z 150,4 - U Izraelitov ako aj u iných semitských národov bol tanec dôležitým náboženským prejavom.
