1 (KJV) Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
1 (B21) Haleluja! Chvalte Hospodina, všichni na nebi, chvalte ho z výšin svých!
2 (KJV) Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
2 (B21) Chvalte ho, všichni jeho andělé, chvalte ho, všechny jeho zástupy!
3 (KJV) Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
3 (B21) Chvalte ho, slunce i měsíci, chvalte ho, všechny hvězdy zářící!
4 (KJV) Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
4 (B21) Chvalte ho, nebesa nejvyšší, chvalte ho, vody v oblacích!
5 (KJV) Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
5 (B21) Ať všichni chválí jméno Hospodin, jehož příkazem byli stvořeni!
6 (KJV) He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
6 (B21) Na věčné věky je všechny umístil, jeho ustanovení se nezmění!
7 (KJV) Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
7 (B21) Chvalte Hospodina, všichni na zemi, vodní obludy a všechny hlubiny,
8 (KJV) Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
8 (B21) blesky a kroupy, mlha i sníh, prudký vichr, plnící jeho rozkazy,
9 (KJV) Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
9 (B21) rovněž tak hory a všechny pahorky, ovocné stromy a všechno cedroví,
10 (KJV) Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
10 (B21) divoká zvěř i všechen dobytek, drobná havěť i ptáci na křídlech,
11 (KJV) Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
11 (B21) králové světa a všechny národy, všichni vůdcové a vládci na zemi,
12 (KJV) Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
12 (B21) mladíci spolu s dívkami a staří s mladými!
13 (KJV) Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
13 (B21) Ať všichni chválí jméno Hospodin, jen jeho jméno je přece nejvyšší, jeho sláva je nad nebem i nad zemí!
14 (KJV) He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.
14 (B21) Roh svého lidu on sám vyvýšil k věhlasu všech svých oddaných, synů Izraele, jeho nejbližších! Haleluja!

Verš 1
Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
Zjv 5:13 - And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Lk 2:14 - Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

Jób 14:5 - Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
Prís 18:10 - The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Iz 12:4 - And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
Z 148 - Celý svet je Božím dielom, preto má všetko tvorstvo oslavovať Pána.
Z 148,1-7 - Pánova chvála má začať na nebesiach. Pána majú chváliť v prvom rade nadzemské bytosti, anjeli. Anjeli sa volajú aj "nebeské mocnosti" alebo nebeské "voje" (Ž 33,6 atď.).
Z 148,14 - Všetko tvorstvo má chváliť Pána aj kvôli Izraelu, ktorý Pán vyslobodil z poddanstva, dal mu veľkú moc - dosl. "povýšil jeho roh" (Ž 18,3; 75,11 atď.) - a spojil sa s ním úzkym zväzkom zmluvy.
