1 (KJV) LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.
1 (B21) Žalm Davidův. Volám tě, Hospodine, ke mně pospíchej, vyslyš můj hlas, když volám tě!
2 (KJV) Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
2 (B21) Kéž je má modlitba před tebou kadidlem, večerní obětí kéž jsou mé ruce zvednuté!
3 (KJV) Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
3 (B21) K mým ústům, Hospodine, postav stráž, bránu mých rtů prosím chraň.
4 (KJV) Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
4 (B21) Nenech mé srdce ke zlu zamířit, ať se neúčastním skutků ničemných s lidmi, kteří jsou zločinci - ať ani neokusím jejich lahůdky!
5 (KJV) Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.
5 (B21) Ať mě spravedlivý třeba i bije, jen ať jsem napomínán přítelem, ať mi však hlavu nemažou ničemové - proti jejich zločinům stále modlím se!
6 (KJV) When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
6 (B21) Až jejich vůdcové budou svrženi ze skály, jak dobře mluvil jsem, všichni poznají.
7 (KJV) Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.
7 (B21) Jako když oráč rozčísne brázdu v zemi, poletí jejich kosti do chřtánu podsvětí!
8 (KJV) But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
8 (B21) Já k tobě, Hospodine, Pane, upírám oči, na tebe spoléhám, nenech mě zahynout!
9 (KJV) Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
9 (B21) Chraň mě před pastí, kterou mi nastražili, před léčkami těch zločinců!
10 (KJV) Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.
10 (B21) Ničemové ať padnou do svých vlastních sítí - já zatím uniknu!

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Ex 29:30 - And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.
Zjv 5:8 - And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Zjv 8:3 - And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.
Ez 37:1 - The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
Ez 37:11 - Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
Z 141,2 - Okrem celostnej zápalnej obety obetovali aj voňavý kadidlový zápal (Lv 2,1; Ex 30,7-8) na kadidlovom alebo aj zlatom oltári, ktorý stál pred vchodom do svätyne (Ex 30,1; 40,5; 30,6. 34-37). "Pozdvihnutie rúk" je paralelizmus k "modlitbe". Židia sa modlievali s roztiahnutými rukami.
Z 141,6 - Doslovne: "Vedľa skaly boli spustené ich kniežatá"; tieto slová narážajú na nebezpečenstvo, v ktorom sa nachodil Šaul, keď prenasledoval Dávida v jaskynnom teréne v okolí Engadi (1 Sam 24,1-16 alebo 26,8-20). Text je však porušený, preto nie je ani jeden výklad istý.
