Žalmy

1 (KJV) The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
1 (B21) Pro předního zpěváka. Žalm Davidův. Blázen myslí, že Bůh není! Zkažení jsou, ohavnost páchají, není, kdo dobro konal by!

2 (KJV) The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
2 (B21) Hospodin z nebe hledí na lidi: Nechce někdo porozumět, Bůh nikomu nechybí?

3 (KJV) They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
3 (B21) Všichni zabloudili z cesty, úplně se zkazili, není, kdo by konal dobro, není ani jediný!

4 (KJV) Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
4 (B21) Copak nic nevědí všichni ti zločinci? Jako by jedli chléb, můj lid hltají - proč by k Hospodinu volali?!

5 (KJV) There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
5 (B21) Jednou je ale přepadne zděšení - Bůh je s pokolením poctivých!

6 (KJV) Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
6 (B21) Vy pohrdáte úmysly ubohých? Jejich útočištěm je Hospodin!

7 (KJV) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
7 (B21) Kéž Izraeli vzejde ze Sionu spása, kéž Hospodin svůj lid obnoví! Jákob pak bude radostně jásat, Izrael se bude veselit!
