Ž 137, 1-9

1 (CPDV) Of David himself. O Lord, I will confess to you with my whole heart, for you have heard the words of my mouth. I will sing psalms to you in the sight of the Angels.
1 (ROH) Pri riekach Babylona, tam sme sedávali i plakali, keď sme sa rozpomínali na Sion.

2 (CPDV) I will adore before your holy temple, and I will confess your name: it is above your mercy and your truth. For you have magnified your holy name above all.
2 (ROH) Na vŕby v ňom, v Babylone, sme boli povešali svoje harfy,

3 (CPDV) On whatever day that I will call upon you: hear me. You will multiply virtue in my soul.
3 (ROH) lebo tam žiadali od nás tí, ktorí nás boli zajali, slová piesne, a tí, ktorí nás trápili, radosť, keď vraveli: Zaspievajte nám niektorú pieseň sionskú!

4 (CPDV) May all the kings of the earth confess to you, O Lord. For they have heard all the words of your mouth.
4 (ROH) No, jako by sme mohli spievať pieseň Hospodinovu v zemi cudzinca?!

5 (CPDV) And let them sing in accordance with the ways of the Lord. For great is the glory of the Lord.
5 (ROH) Ak by som ťa zabudol, ó, Jeruzaleme, nech zabudne i moja pravica. -

6 (CPDV) For the Lord is exalted, and he looks with favor on the humble. But the lofty he knows from a distance.

7 (CPDV) If I wander into the midst of tribulation, you will revive me. For you extended your hand against the wrath of my enemies. And your right hand has accomplished my salvation.
7 (ROH) Pamätaj, Hospodine, synom Edoma na deň Jeruzalema, ktorí hovorili: Rozborte, rozborte v ňom všetko až do základu!

8 (CPDV) The Lord will provide retribution on my behalf. O Lord, your mercy is forever. Do not disdain the works of your hands. 342
8 (ROH) Dcéro Babylona, ty, ktorá máš byť spustošená! Blahoslavený ten, kto ti odplatí to, čo si nám urobila zlého!

9 ----
9 (ROH) Blahoslavený ten, kto pochytí a rozrazí tvoje deti o skalu.

Ž 137, 1-9

Verš 8
The Lord will provide retribution on my behalf. O Lord, your mercy is forever. Do not disdain the works of your hands. 342
Jer 50:15 - Cry out against her! For where she has put forth a hand, her foundations have fallen, her walls have been destroyed. For it is the vengeance of the Lord. Take vengeance against her! Just as she has done, do so to her.
Jer 50:29 - Announce it to the many in Babylon, to all who bend the bow. Stand together against her all around, and let no one escape. Repay her according to her work. In accord with all that she has done, do to her. For she has raised herself up against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel.
Zjv 18:6 - Render to her, as she has also rendered to you. And repay her doubly, according to her works. Mix for her a double portion, in the cup with which she mixed.

Verš 3
On whatever day that I will call upon you: hear me. You will multiply virtue in my soul.
Ž 79:1 - Unto the end. For those who will be changed. The testimony of Asaph. A Psalm.

Verš 7
If I wander into the midst of tribulation, you will revive me. For you extended your hand against the wrath of my enemies. And your right hand has accomplished my salvation.
Jer 49:7 - Against Idumea. Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Is there no longer any wisdom in Teman? Counsel has perished from the sons. Their wisdom has become useless.
Ez 25:12 - Thus says the Lord God: Because Idumea has taken vengeance, so as to vindicate herself against the sons of Judah, and has sinned grievously, and has sought revenge against them,
