1 Ž 125, 1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. 2 Ž 125, 2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. 3 Ž 125, 3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. 4 Ž 125, 4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. 5 Ž 125, 5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Z 125 - Žalm je výzvou k ľudu, aby dúfal v Pána aj uprostred ťažkých skúšok, ktoré doliehajú na vyvolený národ.
Z 125,1 - O vrchu Sion Boh často sľubuje, že sa nepohne (Iz 2,2; Mich 4,1; Ž 68,17).
Z 125,2 - Jeruzalem, ako je známe, bol postavený na vrchu a zovšadiaľ, okrem severu, mal skvelú hradbu vrchov.
Z 125,5 - Mnohí z Izraelitov odpadli, dali sa zastrašiť. Pán ich zahubí s tými, čo nevedia rozlišovať dobro od zla.
