1 (KJV) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
1 (ROH) Keby s nami nebol býval Hospodin - Nech tak povie Izrael! -,

2 (KJV) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
2 (ROH) keby s nami nebol býval Hospodin, keď povstal proti nám človek,

3 (KJV) Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
3 (ROH) vtedy by nás boli pohltili živých v rozpálení svojho hnevu proti nám;

4 (KJV) Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
4 (ROH) vtedy by nás boly zatopily vody; prúd by sa bol prevalil cez našu dušu!

5 (KJV) Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
5 (ROH) Vtedy by sa boly prevalily tie pyšné vody cez našu dušu!

6 (KJV) Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
6 (ROH) Požehnaný Hospodin, ktorý nás nedal za korisť ich zubom.

7 (KJV) Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
7 (ROH) Naša duša unikla jako vtáča z osídla lovca. Osídlo sa potrhalo, a my sme unikli.

8 (KJV) Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
8 (ROH) Naša pomoc je vo mene Hospodinovom, ktorý učinil nebesia i zem.
