1 (CPDV) A Canticle in steps. I rejoiced in the things that were said to me: “We shall go into the house of the Lord.”
1 (ROH) Pozdvihujem svoje oči k horám, odkiaľ prichádza moja pomoc.

2 (CPDV) Our feet were standing in your courts, O Jerusalem.
2 (ROH) Moja pomoc je od Hospodina, ktorý učinil nebesia i zem.

3 (CPDV) Jerusalem has been built as a city, whose participation is unto itself.
3 (ROH) Nedopustí, aby sa pohla tvoja noha; nedrieme tvoj strážca!

4 (CPDV) For to that place, the tribes ascended, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to confess to the name of the Lord.
4 (ROH) Hľa, nedrieme a nespí ten, ktorý ostríha Izraela.

5 (CPDV) For in that place, seats have sat down in judgment, seats above the house of David.
5 (ROH) Hospodin je tvojím strážcom. Hospodin tvojou tôňou po tvojej pravej ruke.

6 (CPDV) Petition for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem, and for abundance for those who love you.
6 (ROH) Nebude ťa biť vodne slnko ani mesiac vnoci.

7 (CPDV) Let peace be in your virtue, and abundance in your towers.
7 (ROH) Hospodin ťa bude ostríhať od všetkého zlého; bude ostríhať tvoju dušu.

8 (CPDV) For the sake of my brothers and my neighbors, I spoke peace about you.
8 (ROH) Hospodin ťa bude ostríhať, keď budeš vychádzať i vchádzať odteraz až na veky.

9 (CPDV) For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I sought good things for you.
