Ž 12, 1-8

1 "Help, LORD; for the godly man ceases; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. " 2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things: 4 "Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? " 5 "For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, says the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffs at him. " 6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 You shall keep them, O LORD, you shall preserve them from this generation for ever. 8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Iz 57:1 - The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

Verš 6

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

2Sam 22:31 - "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. "

Ž 18:30 - As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Ž 119:140 - Your word is very pure: therefore your servant loves it.

Prís 30:5 - Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Z 12 - Modlitba v prorockom štýle. Proti ľudskej lži stojí pravda Božieho slova a Božích prísľubov.

Z 12,7 - Pretavené striebro… sedem ráz čistené - ide o hyperbolu najčistejšieho striebra, označujúcu, že Božie slovo neobsahuje v sebe nič iné, je len tým, čím je. Boží výrok je čistá pravda, čistá a ďaleká od ľudskej nedokonalosti. Boh určite dodrží svoje sľuby.
