1 (KJV) Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
1 (KAT) Zbormajstrovi. Na osemstrunový nástroj. Dávidov žalm.
2 (KJV) They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
2 (KAT) Pomôž mi, Pane, lebo niet už svätých, stratila sa vernosť medzi ľuďmi.
3 (KJV) The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
3 (KAT) Falošnými slovami sa klamú všetci navzájom, hovoria úlisnými perami a srdce majú dvojtvárne.
4 (KJV) Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
4 (KAT) Kiež Pán zničí všetky pery úlisné a vystatovačný jazyk;
5 (KJV) For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
5 (KAT) lebo hovoria: „Náš jazyk nás preslávi, ústa sú nám zbraňou; ktože je pánom nad nami?“
6 (KJV) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
6 (KAT) „Pretože chudák biedu trie a úbožiak stoná, povstanem teda,“ hovorí Pán, „zachránim toho, ktorým opovrhujú.“
7 (KJV) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
7 (KAT) Pánove výroky sú rýdze jak striebro pretavené v ohni, bez hliny, sedem ráz čistené.
8 (KJV) The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
8 (KAT) Pane, ty nás zachováš a ochrániš pred týmto pokolením naveky. Navôkol chodia bezbožní a najhorší z ľudí sa vyvyšujú.

Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
Iz 57:1 - The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
2Sam 22:31 - As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
Ž 18:30 - As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Ž 119:140 - Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
Prís 30:5 - Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Z 12 - Modlitba v prorockom štýle. Proti ľudskej lži stojí pravda Božieho slova a Božích prísľubov.
Z 12,7 - Pretavené striebro… sedem ráz čistené - ide o hyperbolu najčistejšieho striebra, označujúcu, že Božie slovo neobsahuje v sebe nič iné, je len tým, čím je. Boží výrok je čistá pravda, čistá a ďaleká od ľudskej nedokonalosti. Boh určite dodrží svoje sľuby.
