Žalmy

1 (KJV) Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
1 (ROH) Hallelujah! Blahoslavený človek, ktorý sa bojí Hospodina a má velikú záľubu v jeho prikázaniach.

2 (KJV) His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
2 (ROH) Jeho semeno bude mocné na zemi. Pokolenie priamych bude požehnané.

3 (KJV) Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
3 (ROH) Hojnosť a bohatstvo v jeho dome, a jeho spravedlivosť stojí na večnosť.

4 (KJV) Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
4 (ROH) Vzíde vo tme svetlo priamym. Milostivý je, ľútostivý a spravedlivý.

5 (KJV) A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
5 (ROH) Dobrý človek sa zmilováva a požičiava (riadi svoje veci spravedlivým súdom),

6 (KJV) Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
6 (ROH) lebo sa nepohne na veky; spravedlivý bude vo večnej pamäti.

7 (KJV) He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
7 (ROH) Nebojí sa zlej zvesti; jeho srdce stojí pevne; dôveruje Hospodinovi.

8 (KJV) His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
8 (ROH) Jeho srdce je upevnené; nebude sa báť, až sa i podíva na svojich protivníkov.

9 (KJV) He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
9 (ROH) Rozsýpa, dáva chudobným; jeho spravedlivosť stojí na večnosť; jeho roh sa vyvýši v sláve.

10 (KJV) The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
10 (ROH) Uvidí to bezbožník a bude sa zlostiť; bude škrípať zubami a rozplývať sa. Žiadosť bezbožníkov zahynie.
