1 (HEM) למנצח לדוד ביהוה חסיתי איך תאמרו לנפשי נודו הרכם צפור׃
1 (UKJV) In the LORD put I my trust: how say all of you to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 (HEM) כי הנה הרשעים ידרכון קשת כוננו חצם על יתר לירות במו אפל לישרי לב׃
2 (UKJV) For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privately shoot at the upright in heart.

3 (HEM) כי השתות יהרסון צדיק מה פעל׃
3 (UKJV) If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 (HEM) יהוה בהיכל קדשו יהוה בשמים כסאו עיניו יחזו עפעפיו יבחנו בני אדם׃
4 (UKJV) The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 (HEM) יהוה צדיק יבחן ורשע ואהב חמס שנאה נפשו׃
5 (UKJV) The LORD tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates.

6 (HEM) ימטר על רשעים פחים אש וגפרית ורוח זלעפות מנת כוסם׃
6 (UKJV) Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

7 (HEM) כי צדיק יהוה צדקות אהב ישר יחזו פנימו׃
7 (UKJV) "For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; his countenance does behold the upright. "
