1 (CPDV) Unto the end. For the octave. A Psalm of David.
1 (ROH) K Hospodinovi sa utiekam; ako tedy hovoríte mojej duši: Uleť na váš vrch, vtáča!

2 (CPDV) Save me, O Lord, because holiness has passed away, because truths have been diminished, before the sons of men.
2 (ROH) Lebo hľa, bezbožníci natiahli luk; položili svoje šípy na tetivu, aby vo tme strieľali na tých, ktorí sú úprimného srdca.

3 (CPDV) They have been speaking emptiness, each one to his neighbor; they have been speaking with deceitful lips and a duplicitous heart.
3 (ROH) Keď budú stĺpy poborené, čo vykoná spravedlivý?

4 (CPDV) May the Lord scatter all deceitful lips, along with the tongue that speaks malice.
4 (ROH) Hospodin, ktorý je v chráme svojej svätosti; Hospodin, ktorý má svoj trón na nebesiach, jeho oči hľadia, jeho víčka zkúšajú synov človeka.

5 (CPDV) They have said: “We will magnify our tongue; our lips belong to us. What is Lord to us?”
5 (ROH) Hospodin zkúša spravedlivého, ale bezbožníka a toho, kto miluje ukrutnosť, nenávidí jeho duša.

6 (CPDV) Because of the misery of the destitute and the groaning of the poor, now I will arise, says the Lord. I will place him in safety. I will act faithfully toward him.
6 (ROH) Dá pršať na bezbožníkov smečky jako dážď, oheň a síru, zúrivý vietor spaľujúci bude čiastkou ich kalicha.

7 (CPDV) The eloquence of the Lord is pure eloquence, silver tested by fire, purged from the earth, refined seven times.
7 (ROH) Lebo Hospodin je spravedlivý; miluje spravedlivosť; jeho tvár zrie úprimného.

8 (CPDV) You, O Lord, will preserve us, and you will guard us from this generation into eternity.
