1 (UKJV) "Hold not your peace, O God of my praise; "
1 (LS) Au chef des chantres. De David. Psaume. Dieu de ma louange, ne te tais point!

2 (UKJV) For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
2 (LS) Car ils ouvrent contre moi une bouche méchante et trompeuse, Ils me parlent avec une langue mensongère,

3 (UKJV) "They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. "
3 (LS) Ils m'environnent de discours haineux Et ils me font la guerre sans cause.

4 (UKJV) For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.
4 (LS) Tandis que je les aime, ils sont mes adversaires; Mais moi je recours à la prière.

5 (UKJV) And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
5 (LS) Ils me rendent le mal pour le bien, Et de la haine pour mon amour.

6 (UKJV) Set you a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
6 (LS) Place-le sous l'autorité d'un méchant, Et qu'un accusateur se tienne à sa droite!

7 (UKJV) When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
7 (LS) Quand on le jugera, qu'il soit déclaré coupable, Et que sa prière passe pour un péché!

8 (UKJV) "Let his days be few; and let another take his office. "
8 (LS) Que ses jours soient peu nombreux, Qu'un autre prenne sa charge!

9 (UKJV) Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
9 (LS) Que ses enfants deviennent orphelins, Et sa femme veuve!

10 (UKJV) Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
10 (LS) Que ses enfants soient vagabonds et qu'ils mendient, Qu'ils cherchent du pain loin de leur demeure en ruines!

11 (UKJV) "Let the extortionist catch all that he has; and let the strangers spoil his labour. "
11 (LS) Que le créancier s'empare de tout ce qui est à lui, Et que les étrangers pillent le fruit de son travail!

12 (UKJV) Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
12 (LS) Que nul ne conserve pour lui de l'affection, Et que personne n'ait pitié de ses orphelins!

13 (UKJV) "Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. "
13 (LS) Que ses descendants soient exterminés, Et que leur nom s'éteigne dans la génération suivante!

14 (UKJV) "Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. "
14 (LS) Que l'iniquité de ses pères reste en souvenir devant l'Eternel, Et que le péché de sa mère ne soit point effacé!

15 (UKJV) Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
15 (LS) Qu'ils soient toujours présents devant l'Eternel, Et qu'il retranche de la terre leur mémoire,

16 (UKJV) Because that he remembered not to show mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
16 (LS) Parce qu'il ne s'est pas souvenu d'exercer la miséricorde, Parce qu'il a persécuté le malheureux et l'indigent, Jusqu'à faire mourir l'homme au coeur brisé!

17 (UKJV) As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
17 (LS) Il aimait la malédiction: qu'elle tombe sur lui! Il ne se plaisait pas à la bénédiction: qu'elle s'éloigne de lui!

18 (UKJV) As he clothed himself with cursing like with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
18 (LS) Qu'il revête la malédiction comme son vêtement, Qu'elle pénètre comme de l'eau dans son intérieur, Comme de l'huile dans ses os!

19 (UKJV) Let it be unto him as the garment which covers him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
19 (LS) Qu'elle lui serve de vêtement pour se couvrir, De ceinture dont il soit toujours ceint!

20 (UKJV) Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
20 (LS) Tel soit, de la part de l'Eternel, le salaire de mes ennemis, Et de ceux qui parlent méchamment de moi!

21 (UKJV) But do you for me, O GOD the Lord, for your name's sake: because your mercy is good, deliver you me.
21 (LS) Et toi, Eternel, Seigneur! agis en ma faveur à cause de ton nom, Car ta bonté est grande; délivre-moi!

22 (UKJV) For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
22 (LS) Je suis malheureux et indigent, Et mon coeur est blessé au dedans de moi.

23 (UKJV) I am gone like the shadow when it declines: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
23 (LS) Je m'en vais comme l'ombre à son déclin, Je suis chassé comme la sauterelle.

24 (UKJV) "My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh fails of fatness. "
24 (LS) Mes genoux sont affaiblis par le jeûne, Et mon corps est épuisé de maigreur.

25 (UKJV) I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shook their heads.
25 (LS) Je suis pour eux un objet d'opprobre; Ils me regardent, et secouent la tête.

26 (UKJV) Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to your mercy:
26 (LS) Secours-moi, Eternel, mon Dieu! Sauve-moi par ta bonté!

27 (UKJV) "That they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it. "
27 (LS) Et qu'ils sachent que c'est ta main, Que c'est toi, Eternel, qui l'as fait!

28 (UKJV) "Let them curse, but bless you: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let your servant rejoice. "
28 (LS) S'ils maudissent, toi tu béniras; S'ils se lèvent, ils seront confus, Et ton serviteur se réjouira.

29 (UKJV) Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
29 (LS) Que mes adversaires revêtent l'ignominie, Qu'ils se couvrent de leur honte comme d'un manteau!

30 (UKJV) "I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude. "
30 (LS) Je louerai de ma bouche hautement l'Eternel, Je le célébrerai au milieu de la multitude;

31 (UKJV) For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
31 (LS) Car il se tient à la droite du pauvre, Pour le délivrer de ceux qui le condamnent.
