1 (KJV) O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
1 (KAT) ALELUJA. Oslavujte Pána a vzývajte jeho meno, rozhlasujte jeho skutky medzi národmi.
2 (KJV) Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
2 (KAT) Spievajte mu a hrajte, rozprávajte o jeho obdivuhodných skutkoch.
3 (KJV) Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
3 (KAT) Jeho svätým menom sa honoste; nech sa radujú srdcia tých, čo hľadajú Pána.
4 (KJV) Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
4 (KAT) Hľadajte Pána a jeho moc, hľadajte vždy jeho tvár.
5 (KJV) Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
5 (KAT) Pamätajte na divy, čo učinil, na jeho znamenia a na výroky jeho úst,
6 (KJV) O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
6 (KAT) vy, potomci Abraháma, Pánovho služobníka, synovia Jakuba, vyvoleného Pánovho.
7 (KJV) He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
7 (KAT) On, Pán, je náš Boh; jeho rozhodnutia platia po celej zemi.
8 (KJV) He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
8 (KAT) Večne pamätá na svoju zmluvu, na sľub, ktorý dal pokoleniam tisícim,
9 (KJV) Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
9 (KAT) na zmluvu, čo s Abrahámom uzavrel, na prísahu, ktorou sa Izákovi zaviazal.
10 (KJV) And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
10 (KAT) Jakubovi to stanovil za zákon, Izraelovi za zmluvu večitú,
11 (KJV) Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
11 (KAT) keď povedal: „Tebe dám kanaánsku krajinu ako váš podiel dedičný.“
12 (KJV) When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
12 (KAT) Keď ich bolo ešte neveľa, iba niekoľko, a boli cudzincami v krajine
13 (KJV) When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
13 (KAT) a od kmeňa prechodili ku kmeňu, z jedného kráľovstva k inému národu,
14 (KJV) He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
14 (KAT) nedovolil, aby im ľudia krivdili; i kráľov karhal kvôli nim:
15 (KJV) Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
15 (KAT) „Netýkajte sa mojich pomazaných, neubližujte mojim prorokom.“
16 (KJV) Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
16 (KAT) Hlad privolal na krajinu a poničil všetku zásobu chleba.
17 (KJV) He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
17 (KAT) Pred nimi poslal muža, Jozefa, ktorého predali za otroka.
18 (KJV) Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
18 (KAT) Putami jeho nohy zovreli a jeho šiju železom;
19 (KJV) Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
19 (KAT) no potom došlo na jeho slová, Pán dokázal jeho nevinnosť.
20 (KJV) The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
20 (KAT) Vyslobodil ho posol kráľovský, prepustil ho vládca národov;
21 (KJV) He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
21 (KAT) ustanovil ho za pána svojho domu a za správcu všetkého svojho majetku,
22 (KJV) To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
22 (KAT) aby poučil jeho kniežatá podľa svojej vôle a jeho starcov učil múdrosti.
23 (KJV) Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
23 (KAT) I prišiel Izrael do Egypta a Jakub sa stal hosťom v Chámovej krajine.
24 (KJV) And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
24 (KAT) Boh tam svoj národ rýchlo rozmnožil a zdatnejším ho urobil od jeho nepriateľov.
25 (KJV) He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
25 (KAT) Prevrátil im srdcia, že znenávideli jeho ľud a ľstivo zaobchodili s jeho sluhami.
26 (KJV) He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
26 (KAT) Poslal svojho sluhu Mojžiša a Árona, ktorého si vyvolil.
27 (KJV) They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
27 (KAT) A oni medzi nimi ohlasovali jeho znamenia a zázraky v Chámovej krajine.
28 (KJV) He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
28 (KAT) Zoslal temnoty a zahalil ich, lež oni sa jeho slovám spriečili.
29 (KJV) He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
29 (KAT) Ich vody na krv premenil a pozabíjal ich ryby.
30 (KJV) Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
30 (KAT) Ich krajina sa zahemžila žabami, vnikli až do paláca kráľovho.
31 (KJV) He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
31 (KAT) Rozkázal a prileteli roje múch, všetky končiny zaplavili komáre.
32 (KJV) He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
32 (KAT) Namiesto dažďa im zoslal kamenec, žeravý oheň do ich krajiny.
33 (KJV) He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
33 (KAT) A zbil im révu i figovník, dolámal stromy na ich území.
34 (KJV) He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
34 (KAT) Rozkázal a prileteli kobylky, nespočetné množstvo sarančí.
35 (KJV) And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
35 (KAT) Zožrali všetku zeleň v krajine, zožrali všetku zemskú úrodu.
36 (KJV) He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
36 (KAT) A pobil všetko prvorodené v Egypte, prvotiny všetkej ich mužnej sily.
37 (KJV) He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
37 (KAT) Potom ich vyviedol so striebrom a zlatom a v ich kmeňoch nebol nik nevládny.
38 (KJV) Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
38 (KAT) I zaradoval sa Egypt, že už odišli, lebo strach z nich naň doľahol.
39 (KJV) He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
39 (KAT) Rozostrel oblak, aby ich tak chránil, a oheň, aby im svietil za noci.
40 (KJV) The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
40 (KAT) Keď požiadali, zoslal im prepelice a sýtil ich chlebom z neba.
41 (KJV) He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
41 (KAT) Otvoril skalu a voda vytryskla, po púšti tiekla sťa rieka.
42 (KJV) For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
42 (KAT) Lebo pamätal na slová svojho záväzku, ktoré dal Abrahámovi, svojmu služobníkovi.
43 (KJV) And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
43 (KAT) Vyviedol teda svoj ľud v radosti, vyvolených svojich s plesaním.
44 (KJV) And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
44 (KAT) A odovzdal im krajiny pohanov i zaujali majetky národov,
45 (KJV) That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
45 (KAT) aby zachovávali jeho predpisy a jeho zákon plnili. ALELUJA.

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Ž 34:2 - My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

Gn 15:18 - In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
Gn 35:5 - And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

Gn 37:28 - Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
Gn 37:36 - And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.
Gn 45:5 - Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

Gn 41:40 - Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
Ex 14:8 - And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.
Nm 33:3 - And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

Ex 4:12 - Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Ex 7:9 - When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
Verš 42
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
Gn 15:14 - And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
Z 105 - Témou žalmu sú slová 11. verša: "Tebe dám kanaánsku krajinu ako váš podiel dedičný." Žalmista ďakuje za vernosť a splnenie tohto prísľubu ako aj za mnohé iné dobrodenia, ktoré Boh preukázal svojmu ľudu pred zaujatím tejto krajiny.
Z 105,6 - Izraeliti sa volajú: "potomci Abraháma - synovia Jakuba".
Z 105,15 - "Mojich pomazaných… mojim prorokom" - myslí tu patriarchov, ktorí boli zvláštnym spôsobom zasvätení Bohu a dostali od neho zjavenie (porov. Gn 12,11-20; 20,1-18; 26,7-11).
Z 105,19 - "No potom došlo na jeho slová" (Gn 41,12-14).
Z 105,23 - "Jakub sa stal hosťom v Chámovej krajine", totižto v Egypte (Gn 10,6). Jakubovi potomci nikdy nesplynuli s Egypťanmi.
Z 105,28-38 - Egyptský kráľ sa dlho spriečal vôli Jahveho, nechcel prepustiť Izraelitov zo svojej krajiny. Boh potom zosiela desať rán. Žalmista z nich uvádza niekoľko.
Z 105,39 - Viedol ich viditeľným stĺpom ohňa za noci a oblačným stĺpom cez deň. Na púšti rozostrel "oblak, aby ich tak chránil" pred úpalom slnka (Ex 13,21; 14,19; 40,36 atď.). Reptajúcich netresce, kŕmi ich prepelicami (Ex 16,13; Nm 11,31 n.), dáva im "mannu", chlieb z neba (Ex 16,4; vysvetlenie pozri pri žalme 78,25).
Z 105,44 - Palestínu v tie časy obývali mnohé národy. Izraeliti sa zmocnili kanaánskych miest a dedín, polí a záhrad, viníc a olivových hájov, dobytka a všetkého majetku.
