Ž 105, 1-45

1 (KJV) O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
1 (B21) Oslavujte Hospodina, jeho jméno vzývejte, jeho činy rozhlašujte mezi národy!

2 (KJV) Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
2 (B21) Zpívejte mu, hrajte mu, rozvažujte o všech jeho zázracích!

3 (KJV) Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
3 (B21) Jeho svatým jménem chlubte se, ze srdce ať se radují, kdo Hospodina hledají!

4 (KJV) Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
4 (B21) Po Hospodinu se ptejte, po jeho síle, jeho tvář vždycky hledejte.

5 (KJV) Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
5 (B21) Pamatujte, jaké divy provedl, jaké zázraky a co rozhodl.

6 (KJV) O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
6 (B21) Vy, símě Abrahama, jeho služebníka, jste jeho vyvolení, děti Jákoba.

7 (KJV) He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
7 (B21) On je Hospodin, Bůh náš, celá zem jeho soudu podléhá!

8 (KJV) He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
8 (B21) Na svoji smlouvu pamatuje věčně, na slovo tisíci pokolení svěřené,

9 (KJV) Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
9 (B21) na smlouvu, již uzavřel s Abrahamem, na přísahu, již složil před Izákem.

10 (KJV) And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
10 (B21) Jákobovi ten výrok potvrdil za věčnou smlouvu pro Izrael:

11 (KJV) Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
11 (B21) "Tobě dám kanaánskou zem, bude tvým dědičným údělem!"

12 (KJV) When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
12 (B21) Přitom jich tenkrát bylo jen trochu, byli jenom hrstkou cizinců.

13 (KJV) When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
13 (B21) Z národu do národu když bloudili, od jednoho k jinému království,

14 (KJV) He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
14 (B21) nikoho nenechal, aby jim ublížil. I krále kvůli nim varoval:

15 (KJV) Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
15 (B21) "Mé pomazané nechte být! Mým prorokům nepůsobte žal!"

16 (KJV) Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
16 (B21) Když potom přivolal na zem hlad a odřízl je od chleba,

17 (KJV) He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
17 (B21) poslal před nimi jistého Josefa, jehož prodali jako otroka.

18 (KJV) Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
18 (B21) Nohy měl sevřené v okovech, hrdlo uvězněné v železech.

19 (KJV) Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
19 (B21) Když se pak splnila jeho předpověď, když jej protříbila Hospodinova řeč,

20 (KJV) The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
20 (B21) král ho pak nechal propustit z okovů, vládce národů dal mu svobodu.

21 (KJV) He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
21 (B21) Správcem svého paláce jej učinil - vládl nade vším jeho bohatstvím!

22 (KJV) To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
22 (B21) Jeho dvořanům poroučel podle libosti, jeho poradce vedl k moudrosti.

23 (KJV) Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
23 (B21) Do Egypta tenkrát přišel Izrael, Jákob byl hostem v zemi Chamově.

24 (KJV) And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
24 (B21) Svůj lid tam Hospodin velmi rozplodil, bylo jich víc, než jejich protivníci unesli!

25 (KJV) He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
25 (B21) Nechal je nenávidět jeho lid, na jeho služebníky aby vymýšleli lsti.

26 (KJV) He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
26 (B21) Poslal k nim svého služebníka Mojžíše se svým vyvoleným, Áronem.

27 (KJV) They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
27 (B21) Ti jim předváděli jeho znamení, v Chamově zemi konali zázraky!

28 (KJV) He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
28 (B21) Poslal tmu a přišlo zatmění, jeho příkazům se totiž vzepřeli.

29 (KJV) He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
29 (B21) Jejich vody ve krev obrátil, zahubil všechny ryby v nich.

30 (KJV) Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
30 (B21) Jejich země se hemžila žabami - byly i v královských ložnicích!

31 (KJV) He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
31 (B21) Na jeho rozkaz mouchy přilétly, po celé říši byli komáři.

32 (KJV) He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
32 (B21) Místo deště je zasypal kroupami, nad jejich zemí se blesky míhaly.

33 (KJV) He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
33 (B21) Potloukl jejich révu i jejich fíkoví, po celé jejich říši stromy roztříštil!

34 (KJV) He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
34 (B21) Na jeho rozkaz přilétly kobylky, nemožné bylo spočítat housenky!

35 (KJV) And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
35 (B21) Sežraly jim v zemi všechny rostliny, pohltily vše, co půda urodí.

36 (KJV) He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
36 (B21) Všechno prvorozené pak v té zemi bil, všechen výkvět mládí jim zahubil.

37 (KJV) He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
37 (B21) Svůj lid pak vyvedl se stříbrem a zlatem, v žádném z jeho kmenů nikdo neumdlel!

38 (KJV) Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
38 (B21) Z jejich odchodu měli radost v Egyptě, strach z Izraele totiž svíral je!

39 (KJV) He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
39 (B21) Rozestřel oblak, aby jim dal stín, noc jim svým ohněm prozářil.

40 (KJV) The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
40 (B21) Na jejich žádost dal jim křepelky, sytil je svým chlebem nebeským.

41 (KJV) He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
41 (B21) Otevřel skálu, vody vytryskly, proudem se valily po poušti!

42 (KJV) For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
42 (B21) Pamatoval na to, co svatě zaslíbil svému služebníku Abrahamovi.

43 (KJV) And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
43 (B21) Svůj lid tehdy vyvedl s veselím, svoje vyvolené s jásáním!

44 (KJV) And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
44 (B21) Potom jim daroval země pohanů, dědičně získali úsilí národů,

45 (KJV) That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
45 (B21) aby se řídili jeho pravidly a dodržovali jeho zákony. Haleluja!

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Ž 34:2 - My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
Ex 12:33 - And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

Gn 28:13 - And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

Gn 41:40 - Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

Ex 14:8 - And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.

Ex 4:12 - Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Ex 7:9 - When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.

Verš 42
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
Gn 15:14 - And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

Z 105 - Témou žalmu sú slová 11. verša: "Tebe dám kanaánsku krajinu ako váš podiel dedičný." Žalmista ďakuje za vernosť a splnenie tohto prísľubu ako aj za mnohé iné dobrodenia, ktoré Boh preukázal svojmu ľudu pred zaujatím tejto krajiny.

Z 105,6 - Izraeliti sa volajú: "potomci Abraháma - synovia Jakuba".

Z 105,15 - "Mojich pomazaných… mojim prorokom" - myslí tu patriarchov, ktorí boli zvláštnym spôsobom zasvätení Bohu a dostali od neho zjavenie (porov. Gn 12,11-20; 20,1-18; 26,7-11).

Z 105,19 - "No potom došlo na jeho slová" (Gn 41,12-14).

Z 105,23 - "Jakub sa stal hosťom v Chámovej krajine", totižto v Egypte (Gn 10,6). Jakubovi potomci nikdy nesplynuli s Egypťanmi.

Z 105,28-38 - Egyptský kráľ sa dlho spriečal vôli Jahveho, nechcel prepustiť Izraelitov zo svojej krajiny. Boh potom zosiela desať rán. Žalmista z nich uvádza niekoľko.

Z 105,39 - Viedol ich viditeľným stĺpom ohňa za noci a oblačným stĺpom cez deň. Na púšti rozostrel "oblak, aby ich tak chránil" pred úpalom slnka (Ex 13,21; 14,19; 40,36 atď.). Reptajúcich netresce, kŕmi ich prepelicami (Ex 16,13; Nm 11,31 n.), dáva im "mannu", chlieb z neba (Ex 16,4; vysvetlenie pozri pri žalme 78,25).

Z 105,44 - Palestínu v tie časy obývali mnohé národy. Izraeliti sa zmocnili kanaánskych miest a dedín, polí a záhrad, viníc a olivových hájov, dobytka a všetkého majetku.
