Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Ž 26:4 - I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Jer 17:8 - For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Jób 21:18 - They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
Ž 35:5 - Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
Iz 17:13 - The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

Z 1 - Tento žalm je anonymný. Je v ňom narážka na proroka Jeremiáša (17,5-8) a Ezechiela (47,12). Ako to vystihli sv. Bazil a sv. Hieronym, svojím obsahom je ako stvorený za úvod do celého Žaltára. Ozajstné šťastie človeka spočíva v spojení človeka s Bohom a v zachovávaní Božieho zákona.
