1 (KJV) Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
1 (KAT) Vieš ty, kedy kozy skalné liahnu sa kedy lane vrhnú, spozoroval si?

2 (KJV) Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
2 (KAT) Jak sú dlho plné, čítaš mesiace, časy liahnutia ich poznáš takisto?

3 (KJV) They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
3 (KAT) Ony sa len schúlia, mladé vypustia, ťaže pôrodnej sa takto pozbavia.

4 (KJV) Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
4 (KAT) Ich mladé silnejú, rastú na stepi, raz sa odtúlajú, k nim sa nevrátia.

5 (KJV) Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
5 (KAT) Ktože slobodu dal oslu divému a kto onagrovi putá rozviazal,

6 (KJV) Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
6 (KAT) ktorému ja dal som púšte za bydlo, za sídlisko jeho slanú krajinu?

7 (KJV) He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.
7 (KAT) Z lomozu mesta on len sa vysmieva, na krik poháňača veľa nepodbá.

8 (KJV) The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
8 (KAT) Po kopcoch len snorí, svojich pasienkoch, kde zeleň dáka je, hľadá bedlivo.

9 (KJV) Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
9 (KAT) Ochotne ti byvol službu vykoná, či bude pri tvojich jasliach nocovať?

10 (KJV) Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
10 (KAT) Môžeš na šiju mu vložiť opraty a bude za tebou brázdy vyrývať?

11 (KJV) Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
11 (KAT) Spoľahneš sa naňho, že je mohutný, môžeš naňho svoju prácu ponechať?

12 (KJV) Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?
12 (KAT) Môžeš si byť istý, že sa vráti zas, že on na humno ti zrno dovezie?

13 (KJV) Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
13 (KAT) Pštros má zasa krídla veľmi svižné ver’ a perie má hybké, taktiež perute.

14 (KJV) Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
14 (KAT) Keď si on do zeme vajcia nakladie, potom si ich v piesku (telom) zahrieva,

15 (KJV) And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
15 (KAT) zabúda, že noha ich tam rozšliape, aj divá zver ich tam môže rozdláviť.

16 (KJV) She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
16 (KAT) K mladým krutý býva jak by k nevlastným, že sa darmo trápi, to ho nemrzí.

17 (KJV) Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
17 (KAT) To Boh pozbavil ho (všetkej) múdrosti a nedal mu podiel na rozumnosti.

18 (KJV) What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
18 (KAT) Lež ak do výšky sa letom povznesie, vysmeje sa z koňa, z jazdca jeho tiež.

19 (KJV) Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
19 (KAT) Ty to azda dávaš silu koňovi, šiju jeho hrivou priodievaš ty?

20 (KJV) Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
20 (KAT) Dávaš, aby skákal sťaby kobylka? Jak je hrozne hrdé jeho erdžanie!

21 (KJV) He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
21 (KAT) Dupká po rovine, mocne vzpína sa, a potom sa proti zbraniam vyrúti.

22 (KJV) He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
22 (KAT) Chichoce sa strachu, desu nepozná, pred taseným mečom neustúpi on.

23 (KJV) The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
23 (KAT) Len tak na ňom tulec zvučne hrkoce, kopija sa blýska, oštep takisto.

24 (KJV) He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
24 (KAT) Bujný, nepokojný, sťaby hltal zem, zadržať sa nedá, keď roh zazneje.

25 (KJV) He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
25 (KAT) Keď poľnica zvrieskne, »Hihi!« zarehce a bitku zďaleka už on zavetrí, hromovanie vodcov, pokrik vojnový.

26 (KJV) Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
26 (KAT) Jastrab operí sa podľa tvojho umu, aby letel na juh, krídla rozvinul?

27 (KJV) Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
27 (KAT) Orol na tvoj rozkaz vzlietne do výšky, hniezdo postaví si veľmi vysoko?

28 (KJV) She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
28 (KAT) Na brale on sídli, tamtiež nocúva, na útese skalnom, jak by v pevnosti.

29 (KJV) From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
29 (KAT) Stadiaľ vyhľadáva svoju potravu, takto jeho oči jastria do diaľky.

30 (KJV) Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
30 (KAT) Krv si posrkujú jeho mláďatá, zdochliny kde jesto, tam je aj on hneď.“
