Jób 37, 1-24

1 (UKJV) At this also my heart trembles, and is moved out of his place.
1 (ROH) Áno, preto sa trasie moje srdce strachom a skáče so svojho miesta.

2 (UKJV) Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth.
2 (ROH) Počujteže hrmot jeho hlasu a hovor, ktorý vychádza z jeho úst!

3 (UKJV) He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
3 (ROH) Púšťa ho popod všetky nebesia a svoje svetlo až na krýdla zeme.

4 (UKJV) "After it a voice roars: he thunders with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. "
4 (ROH) Za ním reve hlas; hrmí hlasom svojej velebnosti a nezdŕža toho, keď sa čuje jeho hlas.

5 (UKJV) "God thunders marvellously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend. "
5 (ROH) Silný Bôh hrmí predivne svojím hlasom, on, ktorý činí veľké veci, priveľké pre náš rozum.

6 (UKJV) "For he says to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. "
6 (ROH) Lebo snehu hovorí: Padaj na zem! Tak i spŕche dažďa a spŕche svojich mohutných dažďov.

7 (UKJV) "He seals up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work. "
7 (ROH) Pečatí ruku každého človeka, aby poznali všetci ľudia, ktorí sú jeho dielom.

8 (UKJV) Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
8 (ROH) A divá zver vchádza do úkrytu a býva vo svojich brlohoch.

9 (UKJV) Out of the south comes the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
9 (ROH) Z komory juhu prichádza víchrica a od severa zima.

10 (UKJV) By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
10 (ROH) Od dychu silného Boha povstáva mráz, a šírina vody sa sovrie.

11 (UKJV) Also by watering he wearies the thick cloud: he scatters his bright cloud:
11 (ROH) Áno, vlahou obťažuje hustý oblak; naďaleko rozháňa oblak svojho svetla,

12 (UKJV) And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commands them upon the face of the world in the earth.
12 (ROH) ktorý sa prevracia jeho riadením naokolo, aby tie veci vykonaly všetko to, čo im rozkazuje na tvári okruhu zeme,

13 (UKJV) He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
13 (ROH) buď čo do prútu za trest jeho zemi buď čo do milosti; dáva, aby to našlo svoj cieľ.

14 (UKJV) Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
14 (ROH) Nože počuj to, Jobe, postoj a pozoruj divy silného Boha!

15 (UKJV) Do you know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
15 (ROH) Či vieš o tom, keď im nakladá niečo Bôh? Alebo kedy dá, aby sa zablesklo svetlo jeho oblaku?

16 (UKJV) Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
16 (ROH) Či vieš voľačo o tom, ako sa vznáša oblak? O divoch toho, ktorý je dokonalý čo do známosti?

17 (UKJV) How your garments are warm, when he stills the earth by the south wind?
17 (ROH) Ty, ktorého rúcho stáva sa priteplým, keď utíši zem od poludnia?

18 (UKJV) Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
18 (ROH) Rozťahoval si s ním nebeskú oblohu, však? Silnú, jako liate zrkadlo.

19 (UKJV) "Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness. "
19 (ROH) Nože nám daj vedieť, čo mu povieme? Neupravíme reči pre tmu.

20 (UKJV) Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
20 (ROH) Či sa mu porozpráva, keď budem hovoriť? Či povie niekto slovo, aby bol pohltený?

21 (UKJV) And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passes, and cleanses them.
21 (ROH) A teraz síce nevidia ľudia svetla, ktoré svieti jasne na nebesiach; ale prejde vietor a vyčistí ich.

22 (UKJV) Fair weather comes out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
22 (ROH) Od severa prichádza blesk ako zlato; ale nad Bohom je strašná sláva.

23 (UKJV) Concerning the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
23 (ROH) Čo do Všemohúceho, nenajdeme a nevystihneme ho; je prevysoký v sile; a keď aj je u neho súd a množstvo spravedlivosti, netrápi.

24 (UKJV) Men do therefore fear him: he respects not any that are wise of heart.
24 (ROH) Preto sa ho boja ľudia. Nehľadí na nikoho z tých, ktorí sú múdreho srdca.

Verš 2

Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth.

Ž 29:3 - The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is upon many waters.

Verš 5

"God thunders marvellously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend. "

Jób 5:9 - "Which does great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: "

Jób 9:10 - "Which does great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. "

Jób 36:26 - Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

Verš 6

"For he says to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. "

Ž 147:16 - He gives snow like wool: he scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.

Verš 10

By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

Jób 38:29 - Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who has gendered it?

Ž 147:17 - He casts forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

Verš 13

He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

Ex 9:18 - Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

Ex 9:23 - "And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. "

1Sam 12:18 - "So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel. "

Ezd 10:9 - "Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain. "

Jób 36:31 - "For by them judges he the people; he gives food in abundance. "

Verš 18

Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

Gn 1:6 - And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Verš 23

Concerning the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

Jób 9:4 - He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him, and has prospered?

Jób 12:13 - With him is wisdom and strength, he has counsel and understanding.

Jób 12:16 - With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

Jób 36:5 - Behold, God is mighty, and despises not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

Ž 99:4 - "The king's strength also loves judgment; you do establish equity, you execute judgment and righteousness in Jacob. "

Job 37,6 - V. 7: "On vtláča na všetkých ľudí svoje znamenie" je voľnejší preklad. – V Palestíne za zimného obdobia trvalejšie sneží iba na vysokých horách. V zime padá hojný dážď, a to aj v priľahlých susedných krajoch Arabskej púšte. Daždivé počasie hatí roľníka v práci. Musí spočinúť od svojej celoročnej obvyklej práce.

Job 37,10 - Ľad sa tvorí taktiež dychom Pánovým – doslovne by znelo: Na dýchnutie Božie sype sa ľadovec. (Dýchnutie Božie podľa súvislosti je studený severný vietor.)

Job 37,23 - Hoci je Boh aj nekonečne mocný, predsa nikdy nezneužíva svoju všemohúcnosť; preto je nemysliteľné, aby sa Boh kruto zahrával s osudom ľudí alebo iných svojich stvorení.
