1 (UKJV) Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
1 (ROH) A ešte odpovedal Elíhu a riekol:
2 (UKJV) Think you this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more than God's?
2 (ROH) Či to považuješ za súd? Hovoríš: Moja spravedlivosť je nad silného Boha.
3 (UKJV) For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
3 (ROH) Lebo hovoríš: Čo ti to prospeje? Čo mi to pomôže viac, ako keď budem hrešiť?
4 (UKJV) I will answer you, and your companions with you.
4 (ROH) Ja ti dám odpoveď i tvojim priateľom s tebou.
5 (UKJV) "Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than you. "
5 (ROH) Pozri na nebesia a vidz a pozoruj oblaky! Sú vyššie ako ty.
6 (UKJV) If you sin, what do you against him? or if your transgressions be multiplied, what do you unto him?
6 (ROH) Ak budeš hrešiť, čo mu tým urobíš? A jestli bude mnoho tvojich prestúpení, čo mu učiníš?
7 (UKJV) If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of your hand?
7 (ROH) Ak budeš spravedlivý, čo mu tým dáš? Alebo čo vezme z tvojej ruky?
8 (UKJV) "Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; and your righteousness may profit the son of man. "
8 (ROH) Tvoja bezbožnosť uškodí človekovi jako si ty, a tvoja spravedlivosť prospeje synovi človeka.
9 (UKJV) By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
9 (ROH) Kričia pre množstvo útisku; volajú o pomoc pre tvrdé rameno mnohí.
10 (UKJV) "But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night; "
10 (ROH) Ale človek nepovie: Kde je Bôh, ktorý ma učinil, ktorý dáva piesne vnoci,
11 (UKJV) Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
11 (ROH) ktorý nás vyučuje, aby sme boli rozumnejší ako hovädá zeme, a činí nás múdrejších ako vtáctvo nebies?
12 (UKJV) There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
12 (ROH) Tam potom kričia, ale sa neohlasuje, pre pýchu zlých ľudí.
13 (UKJV) Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
13 (ROH) Isté je, že silný Bôh nepočuje márnosti, ani Všemohúci nebude hľadieť na to.
14 (UKJV) "Although you say you shall not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust you in him. "
14 (ROH) A čo ešte, keď hovoríš: Neuvidíš ho. - Súd je pred ním. Očakávaj na neho!
15 (UKJV) "But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity: "
15 (ROH) Ale teraz istotne navštívi jeho hnev ničotu, a on nepozná nijakej prílišnej spupnosti.
16 (UKJV) "Therefore does Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge. "
16 (ROH) A Job otvára svoje ústa na márnosť a množí svoje slová bez známosti.

"But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity: "
Jób 11:6 - And that he would show you the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.
Verš 3
For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
Jób 34:9 - For he has said, It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
Verš 12
There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
Jób 27:9 - Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?
Prís 1:28 - "Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: "
Prís 15:29 - The LORD is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
Iz 1:15 - And when all of you spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when all of you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
Jer 11:11 - "Therefore thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. "
Jn 9:31 - Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does his will, him he hears.
Verš 7
If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of your hand?
Jób 22:2 - Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
Ž 16:2 - "O my soul, you have said unto the LORD, You are my Lord: my goodness extends not to you; "
Rim 11:35 - Or who has first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
Job 35,3 - Porov. 34,9.
Job 35,10 - Boh oprávnene žiada, aby všetci, čo sú utláčaní alebo akokoľvek podrobení utrpeniu, modlili sa s celou dôverou; Boh veľmi často za noc, t. j. nečakane, za veľmi krátky čas poskytol svoju pomoc ľuďom a tým ich pohol, aby mu ďakovali chválospevom a aby ho zvelebovali za svoje vyslobodenie.
Job 35,14-16 - Treba trpezlivo vyčkať, až Boh za dobré uzná, kedy chce zakročiť svojou mocou, aby poskytol pomoc prosiacim.
