Jób 32, 1-22

1 (CPDV) But these three men ceased to answer Job, because he considered himself justified.
1 (ROH) Vtedy prestali tí traja mužovia odpovedať Jobovi, pretože bol spravedlivý vo svojich očiach.

2 (CPDV) And Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram, was angry and indignant. But he was angry against Job because he described himself to be just in the presence of God.

3 (CPDV) Moreover, he was indignant with his friends because they had not found a reasonable response, except in so far as they condemned Job.

4 (CPDV) Therefore, Eliu waited while Job was talking, for these were his elders that were speaking.

5 (CPDV) But when he saw that these three were not able to respond, he was extremely angry.

6 (CPDV) And so Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite responded by saying: I am younger in years, and you are more ancient; therefore, I kept my head low, for I was afraid to reveal to you my opinion.
6 (ROH) A tak odpovedal Elíhu, syn Barachéla, Buzitu, a riekol: Ja som mladý vekom, a vy ste starci, preto som sa ostýchal a bál som sa vysloviť s vami to, čo viem,

7 (CPDV) For I had hoped that greater age would speak, and that a multitude of years would teach wisdom.
7 (ROH) a povedal som: Nech hovorí vek a množstvo rokov, tí nech dajú znať múdrosť.

8 (CPDV) But I see now that there is only breath in men, and that it is the inspiration of the Almighty that gives understanding.

9 (CPDV) The wise are not the aged, nor do the elders understand judgment.
9 (ROH) Nie sú vždy veľkí múdri, ani starci nerozumejú vždycky súdu.

10 (CPDV) Therefore, I will speak. Listen to me, and so I will show you my wisdom.
10 (ROH) Preto hovorím: Nože počuj mňa, nech i ja poviem, čo viem!

11 (CPDV) For I have endured your words; I have paid attention to your deliberations, while you were being argumentative with words.
11 (ROH) Hľa, čakal som na vaše slová; počúval som až na vašu umnosť, dokiaľ nevyzkúmate slov.

12 (CPDV) And as long as I supposed that you were saying something, I considered; but now I see that there is none of you that is able to argue with Job and to respond to his words.

13 (CPDV) So that you will not say, “We have found wisdom,” God has thrown him down, not man.
13 (ROH) Aby ste nepovedali: Našli sme múdrosť: Silný Bôh ho bude stíhať, nie človek!

14 (CPDV) He has said nothing to me, and I will not respond to him according to your words.
14 (ROH) Ale Job neobrátil proti mne reči, ale ani mu neodpoviem vašimi slovami.

15 (CPDV) Then they were filled with dread, and so they no longer responded, and they withdrew from their speechmaking.
15 (ROH) Zľakli sa; neodpovedajú viacej; pošly im slová.

16 (CPDV) Therefore, because I have waited and they have not been speaking, for they stood firm and did not respond at all,
16 (ROH) A či budem azda čakať, keď nehovoria, keď stoja, neodpovedajú viacej?

17 (CPDV) I also will answer in my turn, and I will reveal my knowledge.
17 (ROH) Odpoviem i ja svoj diel; poviem i ja to, čo viem.

18 (CPDV) For I am full of words, and the feeling in my gut inspires me.
18 (ROH) Lebo som plný slov; soviera ma duch môjho lona.

19 (CPDV) Yes, my stomach is like fermenting wine without a vent, which bursts the new containers.

20 (CPDV) I should speak, but I will also breathe a little; I will open my lips, and I will answer.
20 (ROH) Budem hovoriť, a uvoľní sa mi; otvorím svoje rty a budem odpovedať.

21 (CPDV) I will not esteem the reputation of a man, and I will not equate God with man.
21 (ROH) Nebudem hľadieť na ničiu osobu ani nebudem pochlebovať človekovi.

22 (CPDV) For I do not know how long I will continue, and whether, after a while, my Maker might take me away.
22 (ROH) Lebo neviem pochlebovať. Rýchle by ma vychvátil ten, ktorý ma učinil!
