Biblia - Sväté písmo

(UKJV - Anglický - Updated King James)

Jób 31, 1-40

1 (UKJV) "I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? "
1 (ROH) Učinil som smluvu so svojimi očima, a čo by som mal hľadieť na pannu?

2 (UKJV) For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?

3 (UKJV) Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
3 (ROH) Či nie zahynutie nešľachetnému a pomsta činiteľom neprávosti?

4 (UKJV) Does not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
4 (ROH) Či on azda nevidí mojich ciest? A počíta všetky moje kroky?

5 (UKJV) "If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hasted to deceit; "
5 (ROH) Jestli som chodil s márnosťou, a jestli moja noha spiechala ku ľsti,

6 (UKJV) Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.

7 (UKJV) "If my step has turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot has cleaved to mine hands; "
7 (ROH) Jestli sa môj krok odchýlil s cesty, a moje srdce odišlo za mojimi očima, a jestli ľpí na mojich rukách nejaká škvrna;

8 (UKJV) "Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out. "
8 (ROH) vtedy nech sejem, a iný nech jie, a moje potomstvo nech je vykorenené.

9 (UKJV) "If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; "

10 (UKJV) Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
10 (ROH) vtedy nech melie moja žena inému, a nech sa zohýňajú nad ňou iní.

11 (UKJV) "For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges. "
11 (ROH) Lebo je to mrzkosť a je to neprávosť pred sudcov;

12 (UKJV) For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
12 (ROH) lebo je to oheň, ktorý žerie až do zahynutia a vykorenil by všetku moju úrodu.

13 (UKJV) "If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me; "

14 (UKJV) What then shall I do when God rises up? and when he visits, what shall I answer him?
14 (ROH) čo by som bol urobil, keby bol povstal silný Bôh a keby to bol vyhľadával, čo by som mu bol odpovedal?

15 (UKJV) Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
A či nás oboch neutvoril jeden a ten istý v lone matky?

16 (UKJV) "If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail; "
16 (ROH) Ak som uňal z toho, čo si priali chudobní, a dal som hynúť očiam vdovy

17 (UKJV) "Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless has not eaten thereof; "
17 (ROH) a jedol som sám svoju skyvu, a nejedla z nej i sirota -

18 (UKJV) "(For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;) "
18 (ROH) Lebo veď mi rástla od mojej mladosti jako otcovi, a od života svojej matky som ju vodil, vdovu -;

19 (UKJV) "If I have seen any perish for lack of clothing, or any poor without covering; "
19 (ROH) ak som videl hynúceho bez rúcha a díval som sa na toho, kto nemal čím sa odiať, na chudobného;

20 (UKJV) "If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep; "
20 (ROH) ak mi nedobrorečily jeho bedrá, a nehrial sa zo strihu mojich oviec;

21 (UKJV) If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
21 (ROH) ak som sa zahnal svojou rukou na sirotu, pretože som videl v bráne svoju pomoc;

22 (UKJV) Then let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
22 (ROH) nech odpadne moje plece od svojeho väzu, a moje rameno nech sa vylomí zo svojho kĺbu!

23 (UKJV) For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.

24 (UKJV) "If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, You are my confidence; "
24 (ROH) Ak som položil zlato za svoju nádej a povedal som čistému zlatu: Moje dúfanie;

25 (UKJV) "If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had got much; "
25 (ROH) ak som sa radoval tomu, že mám veľa majetku, a že moja ruka získala tak mnoho;

26 (UKJV) "If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness; "

27 (UKJV) And my heart has been secretly enticed, or my mouth has kissed my hand:
27 (ROH) a moje srdce sa dalo tajne zviesť, a moja ruka im posielala bozky mojich úst -

28 (UKJV) This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.

29 (UKJV) If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
29 (ROH) ak som sa radoval záhube svojho nenávistníka a bol som vzrušený radosťou, že ho stihlo zlé -

30 (UKJV) Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
30 (ROH) Ale nedal som hrešiť svojim ústam kliatbou žiadať jeho dušu -,

31 (UKJV) If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.

32 (UKJV) The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.
32 (ROH) Pohostín nenocoval vonku; svoje dvere som otváral na cestu -,

33 (UKJV) If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
33 (ROH) ak som prikrýval svoje prestúpenie, ako robieva človek, skrývajúc svoju neprávosť vo svojom lone,

34 (UKJV) Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
34 (ROH) keď som sa azda bál veľkého davu, a desilo ma opovrženie rodín, a mlčal som nevychádzajúc zo dverí -

35 (UKJV) Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
35 (ROH) Oj, aby som mal toho, kto by ma vypočul! Tu hľa, je moje znamenie! Nech mi odpovie Všemohúci! A písmo aby som mal, ktoré napísal môj protivník!

36 (UKJV) Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
36 (ROH) Áno, vzal by som ho na svoje plece a ovinul by som si ho sťa korunu!

37 (UKJV) "I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him. "

38 (UKJV) "If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain; "
38 (ROH) ak volá proti mne moja zem a spolu plačú jej brázdy;

39 (UKJV) If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
39 (ROH) ak som jedol jej úrodu bez peňazí, a pre mňa musela vzdychať duša jej držiteľov:

40 (UKJV) Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
40 (ROH) miesto pšenice nech vzíde tŕnie a miesto jačmeňa plevel. Dokončili sa slová Jobove.
