Jób 18, 1-21

1 (UKJV) Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
1 (KAT) Tu prehovoril Šuachčan Bildad a vravel:

2 (UKJV) How long will it be before all of you make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
2 (KAT) „Dokedy budete hádzať slová? Dobre rozvážte si, potom vravme:

3 (UKJV) Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
3 (KAT) Prečo sme za hovädá pokladaní? Prečo sme v tvojich očiach nečistí?

4 (UKJV) He tears himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for you? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
4 (KAT) Ty, čo vlastnou zúrivosťou roztrhneš sa, kvôli tebe sa zem púšťou stane a bralo sa má pohnúť zo svojho miesta?

5 (UKJV) Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
5 (KAT) Isto zhasne svetlo bezbožného, nezažiari plameň jeho ohňa.

6 (UKJV) The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

7 (UKJV) The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

8 (UKJV) For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks upon a snare.

9 (UKJV) The animal trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
9 (KAT) Za pätu ho zachytáva osídlo, sťahuje sa vôkol neho slučka.

10 (UKJV) The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

11 (UKJV) Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
11 (KAT) Zo všetkých strán ho budú desiť hrôzy a budú sa mu valiť na päty.

12 (UKJV) His strength shall be famished, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

13 (UKJV) It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
13 (KAT) Choroba rozožerie jeho kožu, smrti prvý syn mu údy zhltá.

14 (UKJV) His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
14 (KAT) Vytrhne ho z bezpečného stanu, odvedie ho ku kráľovi hrôzy.

15 (UKJV) It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

16 (UKJV) His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
16 (KAT) Oddola mu vyschýnajú korene, konáre mu vädnú odvrchu.

17 (UKJV) His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

18 (UKJV) He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
18 (KAT) Zo svetla ho zaháňajú do temnôt, zapudzujú ho z obvodu zeme.

19 (UKJV) He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
19 (KAT) Nemá synov, potomkov vo vlastnom ľude, nijaký ostatok vo svojom príbytku.

20 (UKJV) They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
20 (KAT) Jeho osud predesil najposlednejších, hrôza zachvátila prvých:

21 (UKJV) Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knows not God.
